Hoshi Korean bbq & sushi is our go to spot with the kids. Totally worth it at lunch time. My son loves Korean bbq & my girls are all about sushi so it's the perfect combination for our family. The older waiter is always kind & welcoming. Great place for a family meal!
A unique mix of smoky BBQ flavors & fresh sushi vibes! 🔥🍣
I find myself at Hoshi almost every month-sometimes even more often depending on the craving. It's easily one of my go-to spots for Korean BBQ, especially when I'm with friends. We've never had issues walking in as a small group, but if you're going with more than four people, definitely reserve ahead since you'll need multiple booths.
Let me tell you, the service here is insanely fast. Once you place your order (which is done through your phone after scanning their QR code), the dishes start coming out almost immediately. It's honestly the quickest service I've experienced at any restaurant.
They used to have separate lunch & dinner menus, but now it seems everything is available all day-which is a win in my book. The menu is loaded with options, & they've even expanded it over time. Between the Korean BBQ, sushi, & skewers, you're getting a great variety. Most places would charge extra for skewers & other add-ons, but not here.
We come so often that the staff recognizes us as regulars, & they always treat us with top-notch service.
Hoshi BBQ is a real gem in the West Island! The food is absolutely delicious, the service is excellent, & the staff are always so warm & friendly. I've had supper here a handful of times, & somehow each visit is even better than the last. Consistently great experience-highly recommend!
Great food! Fast service & everything is really tasty & well marinated. The menu is a QR code you scan on your phone & then order from your phone. Initially, I found the meat & fish portions a bit small but that's actually good because you will be super full after. I will come back again for the supper service with my kids. 5 stars & better than the Korean BBQ restos I've been to downtown.
I had an amazing time at this Korean BBQ spot! The food was absolutely delicious - the meat was fresh, perfectly seasoned, & grilled right at the table, which added to the whole fun of the experience. Every bite was packed with flavor, & the side dishes (especially the kimchi & dipping sauces) were top-notch.
What really made the night stand out, though, was the owner. The Asian boss was incredible - super friendly, welcoming, & clearly passionate about the food & the service. He checked in with us multiple times to make sure everything was perfect & even gave us a few tips on how to grill the meat the Korean way. His energy really lifted the whole vibe of the place.
Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a great meal & a warm, memorable experience!
Fantastic place to have Korean BBQ if you're not in a hurry. 2 hour seating time to enjoy all you can eat.... Just make sure that you order what you can finish (1.50$ for each uneaten item). Very cosy atmosphere & very friendly service
Super bonne place, beaucoup de variétés, & très belle expérience du bbq coréen.
I visit Hushi BBQ Coréen & Sushi regularly, especially when I'm craving sushi. I love their BBQ options, particularly the salmon, filet, shrimp, & calamari. The sushi buffet is diverse with a wide variety of types & kinds to choose from. Considering the quality & selection, the price is very affordable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious BBQ & sushi!
My husband & I were very impressed! The service was excellent-everyone was friendly, professional, & attentive. The food came out quickly, & my husband tried the BBQ soy sauce, which was absolutely delicious. We loved it so much that we put it on everything! The prices were fair, & we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Hoshi is definitely being added to our regular date night spots. Thank you to the Hoshi team for a wonderful evening!
I would recommend a reservation. We waited for about an hour on a Friday night. The food was very good, especially the hot & sour soup & the short ribs. They pair really well with either the BBQ soy sauce ( think teriyaki sauce) &/or the ssamjang sauce (fermented bean & chili sauce). We liked every item we got. The food arrived quickly even though it was busy. We almost didn't go because there were some so-so reviews, but we really enjoyed our night & we will definitely go back with some friends!
Service rapide & beaucoup de choix. La viande du bbq est très bonne mais les sushis ne sont pas extraordinaires.
The West Island is stepping up their game. You don't have to head down to downtown Montreal. To eat coreen BBQ. HOSHI BBQ COREEN & SUSHI.
Walked in Hoshi with no reservation & no prior Korean bbq experience. The receptionist was very nice & found us a table even though it was a Friday evening, they gave us an hour & a half before the tables reservation would arrive. We get seated & the bbq gets lit. Electronic menu on your phone so you can order constantly is a nice way to do things. So I get a Sapporo pitcher (yeah, yeah, sue me) for the lady & I along with some veggies & meat. Everything arrived almost instantly. Sushies & other Asian style foods are available. Beef, pork, veal, chicken, shrimps & the likes & they also have seasoned skewers of the aforementioned meats. You got the typical Asian style American food also (heavily fried & pankoed items) All in all we ate to our content & the food was very good. 41.99$ per person plus the beer & tip got me just south of 150$ Kids eat for cheaper. Strong 4 out of 5, enjoyed it much, will return. Unrelated picture of the eclipse for visibility
First time here a couple of days ago & it was alright. I've had better korean bbq than this one. Variety of food could be better, I couldn't find anything noodles or fried rice on the menu. Just white 🍚. Service was good, no negatives there. Just know that you only have a max. of 2hrs to order & be done eating from the time you get seated. I most likely won't be back here again but it was good. & I'll recommend their mango ice cream to anyone that goes there. The best I've had anywhere that's all you can eat.
Update: back again last night & indeed, menu was improved & taste good. Changed to 4 stars, 5 if the rices were less dry & have more flavor.
Food is great. The idea of bbqing & sushi is really nice. When checking the price, take care when looking online that there are 2 Hoshi's. The website of the one on the West Island only has a Facebook page. The other on St Jerome has a regular website. Prices are different though.
Quite a wide variety of options & the food is pretty good. The sushi is what you would expect from an all you can eat that mostly focuses on Korean BBQ (the fish doesn't really taste fresh & lots of rice). The meats were a little chewy, but the taste was good. Service was very nice & quick. Overall not a bad place to go for some all you can eat in the West Island.
