Excellent restaurant! Tous les plats étaient délicieux, l'ambiance est chaleureuse & le service est excellent. Une mention spéciale à Sébastien, qui offre un service hors pair & qui est un véritable historien du vin!
Nous sommes allés hier soir à ce resto à l'occasion de l'anniversaire de ma mère (groupe de 4).
La nourriture est excellente mais il manque un petit quelque chose pour faire'wow'.
Nous avons la chance de pouvoir nous payer de très bon resto. Nous avons fait Vin Mon Lapin, Mastard, Rôtisserie La Lune récemment & à toutes les fois, on est sorti du restaurant en disant: quel souper !
Ce n'est malheureusement pas le cas pour Hélicoptère. En entrée, tartelette à l'oignon (très bon plat). Les pétoncles en 2e plat était un peu décevante. Pour le plat principal, de la pieuvre, un de mes plats préférés. Cuisson sous vide pour attendrir la viande (très bien) mais la pieuvre aurait eu avantage à être saisi sur le BBQ pour lui donner un petit goût de brûlé comme le font les restaurants grecs de bonne qualité.
Par contre, service très professionnel du serveur.
Côté négatif, la lenteur du service. On a attendu pratiquement une heure entre la première & la seconde entrée. Le serveur est même venu s'excuser du délai.
Mention spéciale pour la carte des vins. Une excellente sélection à des prix raisonnables (des bouteilles à $40, on oublie cela, cela ne se trouve plus). Beaucoup de bouteilles disponibles dans un range de prix entre $70 & $100.
Bref, bon restaurant mais nous ne retournerons pas. Il y a plein de restaurant à Montréal qui mérite le détour.
Excellent service, par contre le doré était un peu sec (surcuit) & le porc un peu coriace. Pain maison toujours aussi renversant ainsi que l'entrée aux pleurotes

Restaurant de très grande qualité ! Nous avons fêté nos 15 ans de mariage, c'était une aventure culinaire étonnante dans le quartier d'hochelaga. De plus le restaurant travaille avec des artisans locaux & québécois!
C'est mon restaurant préféré à Montréal depuis quelques années, première fois de retour depuis les rénovations & la cuisine & les vins sont toujours aussi incroyables. Quelle chance que ce soit notre restaurant de quartier. Le seul bémol, un autre de ces restaurants qui ne donnent pas l'option de 15% de pourboire sur le terminal, ça commence à 18%.
Where do I even begin to describe the incredible experience we had at Restaurant Hélicoptère recently? From start to finish every single person at the restaurant was kind, engaging, knowledgable about food & wine, & just delivered 15/10 service.
We had a group with a few dietary restrictions that we commented well in advance & the team both back of house & front of house delivered quality, innovative, & incredible delicious food.
I had the vegetarian tasting menu with a wine pairing & enjoyed the seasonal & fresh ingredients.
The cost for quality, portion size, & wine was very fair.
Thanks to everyone for making my friend's 40th birthday dinner so special.
Great tasting menu experience, & Vincent behind the bar was fantastic! I normally don't like scallops or tomatoes, but they were prepared very well & I actually enjoyed them. The wine pairings were great - some very unique wines, especially the one paired with the gnocchi. The timing of the first two courses was a little slow to the point I had almost finished my glass of wine before the scallops came, but after the first couple of courses the pace was much more reasonable & I ended up really enjoying it! I really appreciated the descriptions of everything, & all the tiny details & unique flavours. I would definitely come back, especially to try all the seasonal changes to the menu!
Love that everything is made from scratch & sourced locally! Everything tasted fresh & amazing & so cohesive!!! I would come back to Montreal 4 times a year just to try each of their seasonal menus
