I visited Montreal & wanted to sample a variety of dishes & obviously a tasting menu is the way to go. I was sat at the bar & was taken care of by Vincent. He was so sweet. Actually the entire team was great. Every dish, every glass of wine was carefully explained to me. They made sure to consider any allergies I had. The food was also great. This was a lovely experience.
Dinner here was a great experience. This was my first time eating at a fine dining place, so I write this not as a food critic but just as a woman who had a good time. We got the five course tasting menu, & it provided such a fun rhythm to the evening. Every time a new dish was set before us, our conversation would suddenly halt as we ate; as the food started to thin on the plate, we'd break the silence to marvel at how good it was. Everything was inventive & interesting, so there was a lot to discuss--creative flavor combinations, intentional portions, perfect textures. It was really a delight to be able to treat a meal like an art piece or a movie. I didn't take any pictures, but my favorite dish was the pea & goat cheese ravioli. Somehow, eating this hearty cheese filled pasta also felt like eating a pea pod fresh from the garden. How cool is that!!!!!

Mon restaurant coup de coeur du quartier. L'expérience commence dès qu'on ouvre la porte : le restaurant respire la bonne humeur, tant par les convives qui y mangent que par l'ambiance générale de la place. Lumières tamisées, membres de l'équipe qui se déplacent entre les tables de façon experte pour servir & expliquer chacun des plats qui se trouve devant soi.
La carte n'est pas trop grande, ce qui permet de faire rapidement un choix éclairé quant à la direction que prendra la soirée en termes de repas. J'aime toujours opter pour le menu dégustation afin de découvrir les nouvelles concoctions de la cuisine.
Si le choix de nourriture est simple, attendez-vous à avoir l'embarras du choix pour ce qui est des boissons. C'est là que la magie « Hélicoptère » s'opère. Que ce soit un cocktail bien shaké par le barman, une bière fraîche ou le parfait accord vin avec ce que vous mangez, les possibilités sont presque infinies.
J'en suis à ma énième visite, & ça ne sera certainement pas ma dernière. Si l'Hélicoptère était un temps de verbe, il serait le « plus-que-parfait » !

We went for a sharing plate strategy to able to taste as many dishes as possible. The dessert, the Strawberry, was a big favorite that a had this perfect taste of summer.
