The food & service from Taylor & Jennie, our sommelier, were superb. The mortadella, gem salad, scallops, & pavlova, to name just a few dishes, were absolutely delicious & made for a memorable dining experience.
Unfortunately, our interaction with the hostess, Rose, left a very different impression. Our reservation was for 6:15 p.m., & while we were running slightly late, we attempted to call ahead to let the restaurant know. However, our call went straight to voicemail & we were unable to reach anyone. After checking the restaurant's website, we noted that there is a stated 15-minute grace period for reservations.
When we arrived at 6:28 p.m., well within that grace period, we were immediately met with an unfriendly & dismissive attitude from Rose. As first-time guests, this was disappointing & felt unnecessarily rude. Hospitality begins at the door, & our initial welcome did not reflect the high standard demonstrated by the rest of the staff.
Thankfully, the exceptional service from Taylor & Jennie, along with the outstanding food, more than redeemed the evening. While we thoroughly enjoyed our meal & would return for the cuisine & service, we hope management addresses the way guests are greeted & treated upon arrival.
Honestly TOP notch! Food was incredible & service just as good. Highly recommended!!! Tried the gnocchi ricotta lamb & seared scallops & wow no words
Rarely do i enjoy suburban dining, but Grille Nature really sets a high bar for experience. Great food & service in a lively setting. Not too trendy, comfy yet not dull. Enjoyed it thoroughly
Food was fantastic. We had a little bit of everything. Quality & taste is like no other. Service was great. Not much more to add.
Amazing new spot in the West Island. The food was all delicious & full of fresh flavours. Also the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant
Food so good I will never look at coleslaw, fries or chicken the same way again.
Just wanted to look around & Rose a very pretentious employee told to stand at the doo
Went here, after all the hype expecting something extraordinary. I love a porterhouse but at $200 in an untried (by me) restaurant it is a bit much. I ordered a cheeseburger for $28. It came well done with fries. After a few bites the grissle started to pile up on my plate having been unchewable & spit out. Needless to say wasted $200. The beer, a brown ale was much too over the top chocolate sweet, left half over as it was to cloying. All in all Harvey's or Belle Province is a way better choice at 1/20 the price.
Invited by friends for my birthday! Don't let the location undermine its authenticity. Service, while friendly, offered no flexibility for simple side alterations, no was the quick answer! Atmosphere could benefit from an upgrade, toilets were under par. They hit the mark with the food quality. Originally the chef was at Joe Beef, & now here. Overall, might need another visit to experience a better service.
we went here for a birthday celebration & it was perfect. loved the laidback ambiance, the food & service spoke for itself !! must try dishes are the honey ginger shrimps & grilled steak.
