Gibby's is an absolute classic located in Vieux Port. The building is cozy, rustic & nostalgic. Steak is a must, they will cook to your liking. The portions are big, & the value is worth it. So happy to leave this review. My ex-boyfriend & I had a reservation at Gibby's & it was such an experience. We arrived, they were extremely busy & I think reservations weren't organized too well, but nonetheless, we were seated & greated by our server Christine. She was incredible, fast, busy, hustling but really incredible. Definitely ask for her service! The food was amazing. Very large portions. Pricey but worth it.. well done Gibby's. Will absolutely recommend it as the best steakhouse in Montreal.View more

My fiancé & I went to celebrate our engagement & we have to say this was the best restaurant experience we could have ever asked for! The staff was amazing, so attentive & kind! The food was amazing & the little additives you receive with every meal as well as when celebrating any special event, they make you feel like the most important customers in the restaurant! Jeremie made our anniversary dinner one to never forget!!! He was INCREDIBLE!!! His service from start to finish was impeccable, he went above & beyond the expectations we had & we are so grateful we had him as our server for the evening. The food was amazing, & when the steak was not cooked to our liking they had zero problems correcting it. Jeremie even went the extra mile to offer to find me medicine when I had mentioned I wasn’t feeling the greatest. The flavours were spot on for all of the food & dessert was amazing. We spent 4 nights in Montréal & went back to Gibbys twice because of Kasra. He offers 5 star service - we would highly recommend requesting him.
The food is delicious. Pickles, bacon & fresh bread to start per usual. We had the beef Wellington & Ribeye, each cooked to perfection. Do not pass this up on your visit to Montréal.View more
