Matcha pancake is the best!

To be quite honest, I feel like the experience was pretty mid & not really worth it.

Although I appreciate the wide variety of options on the menu, I think the prices are a bit too steep for the quality of the food & service.

I genuinely understand that making soufflé pancakes takes time & that staff have to prioritize serving customers while keeping everything running efficiently. But can someone explain why I had to wait 30 minutes for a matcha tiramisu pancakes, only for the matcha to taste bitter & almost expired?

The pancakes themselves were good, light & fluffy, but the quality control of the matcha definitely needs some explanation.

Overall, I don't think it's worth going back.

Very disappointing. I've been to fuwa fuwa in Toronto & it was always delicious. The pancakes were flat & dry & did NOT taste like Japanese soufflé at all. Also, the prices were pretty high for what it is. I ordered oat milk matcha latte but it came with regular milk.

Je voulais tester depuis longtemps . Jai pris pour emporter , le pancake n'était pas monter tout était dans des petits pots mais le pancake au tiramisu matcha été bon . On repassera pour les fraises pas de saisons mais bon .

Bien que la serveuse soit gentille & serviable elle avait lair vraiment perdu . Jai demander un matcha chaud , jai reçu un matcha glacé , l'erreur pas de problème mais il été infecte . Clairement il ne savent pas comment faire le matcha , aucun ustensile adéquat. Le frappée de mon conjoint limite passable.
35 $ pour deux boissons qui été vraiment pas bonne & un pancake sa fait cher . Je peut comprendre le prix des condiments mais pour le peu proposées , jai du faire le montage moi même & les boissons sa fait beaucoup . Je n'y retournerai pas , jai tester ces correct .

Matcha is really disappointing, no flavour, tastes like water. The pancakes were good, but pricy. The service wasn't great, we had to wait a while for an employee to acknowledge us, they also suddenly left without taking our order. Not impressed.

If you're looking for the ultimate fluffy pancakes & don't mind the calories, this is the spot! The matcha pancakes were incredible, & the drinks were just as delicious. I'd come here every day if these were zero calories!

I ordered the matcha tiramisu pancake & yuzu juice. The pancake was really good & authetic. The yuzu is a bit sweet but refreshing nonetheless. My only gripe is the wait time. I went to the restaurant at 8:30pm, there are only 3 tables occupied, & I had to wait 20-25 minutes for the pancake which was a bit slow.

If you are planning to go to FUWA FUWA on Ste Catherine & you are in a hurry, then don't. While the cakes look delicious, the wait time is just painfully troublesome. The lineup is huge & everything is slow & lethargic. There is absolutely no sense of urgency.
I had the Tiramisu Matcha for just over $20 & it took 39 minutes from the time I ordered.

However, if you have extra time to kill, then this might be a different story. The cakes are prepared on the spot, at least the ones that we had ordered.
The texture is indeed soft & fluffy but you end up feeling full, even though it is not rich & fatty.
It's worth a try, but there are other similar type bakeries not too far from this one, & definitely cheaper.
The hype here is that the cake looks different & once you have tried it, then you move on.

What I do not like is the published prices (or lack thereof) as I am accustomed to look at a menu (either the name or picture or both) with a price next to it. Here there is just a name & a picture with no price. I have to ask the teller who had no clue & had to look it up. This can get stressful when there are people in line after me.

Seating inside is limited & paid parking on some side roads.

Fuwa Fuwa's Japanese fluffy pancakes are absolutely delicious-soft, airy, & full of flavor. We really enjoyed the matcha tiramisu, & the Biscoff pancakes are probably my favorite so far. The smoked salmon croffle was also a great savory option-perfect for breakfast or lunch. The drinks were great, & the staff is super friendly. There's plenty of seating, & the interior is cute & cozy. The atmosphere is relaxing, & the music adds a nice touch. Highly recommend for a sweet (or savory) treat!
