If you're looking for the ultimate fluffy pancakes & don't mind the calories, this is the spot! The matcha pancakes were incredible, & the drinks were just as delicious. I'd come here every day if these were zero calories!
I ordered the matcha tiramisu pancake & yuzu juice. The pancake was really good & authetic. The yuzu is a bit sweet but refreshing nonetheless. My only gripe is the wait time. I went to the restaurant at 8:30pm, there are only 3 tables occupied, & I had to wait 20-25 minutes for the pancake which was a bit slow.

If you are planning to go to FUWA FUWA on Ste Catherine & you are in a hurry, then don't. While the cakes look delicious, the wait time is just painfully troublesome. The lineup is huge & everything is slow & lethargic. There is absolutely no sense of urgency.
I had the Tiramisu Matcha for just over $20 & it took 39 minutes from the time I ordered.
However, if you have extra time to kill, then this might be a different story. The cakes are prepared on the spot, at least the ones that we had ordered.
The texture is indeed soft & fluffy but you end up feeling full, even though it is not rich & fatty.
It's worth a try, but there are other similar type bakeries not too far from this one, & definitely cheaper.
The hype here is that the cake looks different & once you have tried it, then you move on.
What I do not like is the published prices (or lack thereof) as I am accustomed to look at a menu (either the name or picture or both) with a price next to it. Here there is just a name & a picture with no price. I have to ask the teller who had no clue & had to look it up. This can get stressful when there are people in line after me.
Seating inside is limited & paid parking on some side roads.
Fuwa Fuwa's Japanese fluffy pancakes are absolutely delicious-soft, airy, & full of flavor. We really enjoyed the matcha tiramisu, & the Biscoff pancakes are probably my favorite so far. The smoked salmon croffle was also a great savory option-perfect for breakfast or lunch. The drinks were great, & the staff is super friendly. There's plenty of seating, & the interior is cute & cozy. The atmosphere is relaxing, & the music adds a nice touch. Highly recommend for a sweet (or savory) treat!
The staff are super kind & the food is absolutely delicious! Mostly the Matcha cheesecake!! I normally don't enjoy cheesecake but this one was amazing!

Very good service. Came in tuesday at 6:00 pm & the first thing I noticed is that the cashier was very helpful & smiley. She helped me a lot to make a choice & kept suggesting their best sellers . Also I ordered three stuffs two pancakes one salty & a tiramisu pancake & one more croffle all i can say is MASTERPIECE . Got them all together so I didn't have to wait for too long & the girl in the decoration area was very sweet & very nice. I highly recommend this place they make the best matcha drink eve
Our first visit in January was a pleasant experience. The cashier was friendly & took the time to explain the menu. The pancakes were delicious.
However, our second visit on Saturday, March 29th, 2025, around 2 PM, left much to be desired.
The woman at the cashier spoke in a monotone voice, giving the impression that she wasn't particularly engaged or interested in being there. Despite this, we decided to give her the benefit of the doubt & still left a tip, especially considering the high menu prices & the minimal service provided.
When we went to pick up our pancakes & asked a curly haired male staff member a question, he seemed uninterested in offering any helpful response.
We ordered the Matcha pancake, & honestly, it was rather bland. We were expecting a much more flavorful dish, especially given the price we paid for it.
Needless to say, after this experience, we're not inclined to return.
The matcha pancakes were so bland. There was no flavour & was barely salvaged by the matcha sauce that came wiith it. The Basque cheesecake on the other hand was great. Get the original flavour. The mango flavour was almost undercooked.
One of the best pancakes I ever have. Love their robot too! The only hick is the price: very expensive. Dishes ordered - Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon: 5/5⭐️ - Matcha Tiramisu Pancakes : 4.5/5⭐️ - Basque Cheesecake Mini Original: 4/5⭐️ - Basque Cheesecake Mini Chocolate: 7/5⭐️! - Matcha Latte: 3/5⭐️
So... I came here 3 times, & honestly... it's sad. The wait times take way too long, only for the pancakes to taste average at most. Sometimes, the pancakes are awfully deflated, too. On top of that, they seem to spam their sauce too much. I appreciate the efforts they take to ensure that everything is good, but for the time you take to prepare orders & the quality... I expected a little better. On top of that, the pancakes are expensive. It can range from 12-19$ excluding taxes. (Depending on what you get) I came here during opening & a month after that. I can understand that the opening was busy but I'm disappointed by my experience even a month later. It wasn't busy, but I had hoped it would be better. Here are my opinions on the menu that I had tried previously: Matcha Tiramisu: Honestly overhyped. I'm not sure if it is because mine had way too much sauce, but there was so much sauce that it overwhelmed the pancakes entirely. Moreover, the pancakes were not really fluffy. It just didn't taste right. I had a lot of hope for this, too, since I'm a Matcha & Tiramisu lover. This also comes with Matcha sauce & ice cream on the side, but the sauce on the pancake was already too much so it was too much when i tried it with the matcha sauce. 3/5 Signature: It's perfect. The taste is wonderful & honestly melted in my mouth. They provide maple syrup as well to add as well. 5/5 Tiramisu: Very nice! It doesn't feel overwhelming, & it compliments the pancake well. 4/5 Strawberry: One of my favorites! It is a little sweet, but the sauce & the pancake go well together! It is perfect if you like something fruity & sweet. 5/5 Raspberry Caramelized: The sauce & the caramelized bananas were nice. My only issue is that the pancakes were... a little stiff again like the Matcha Tiramisu I had. 3/5 Creme Brulée: Very nice! I had it twice & both times didn't disappoint! One of them was a little more deflated then the other, but it wasn't stiff, so that's alright! It was still fluffy, so I didn't mind too much. It also comes with some caramelized bananas & ice cream on the side! 5/5 Blueberry Cheese: Like the Matcha Tiramisu, this was the same. The sauce was overwhelming as it's literally too much, & the pancakes were a little stiff. It comes with ice cream & orange slices on the side... but honestly, it just looked like a complete mess rather than a dessert. Despite this, I do recommend eating it together with the ice cream as it helped a lot & tasted a little better. 3/5 Drinks: Very nice, not much to comment on. Basque Cheesecake: Good, not much to comment on. Price overall.... it's really expensive. Especially the Cheesecake. For 1 Cheesecake slice, it's 7$ & it's barely the size of a palm. For a whole, it's around 20-23$ depending on the flavor. Honestly, it's not worth the price for the quality & experience that I had.
Thankfully I didn't have to wait to order but I did have to wait about 30 minutes to get my tiramisu souffle pancake. I was so sad they were out of the matcha & red bean one. I had a few souffle pancakes before & visually, it was the shortest souffle pancakes I ever had (2 layers). As for the taste, well it was light, chocolaty & just sweet enough. It's good as a snack although around 15$. Overall, it's ok & I may go back from time to time if it's not too busy.

I have been waiting a long time to try these famous Japanese pancakes 🥞, Literally !!!! Got to the restaurant around 13:45, was told to return in 2hrs , they would not take the order then. Returned at 15:45, got my order around 17:00. Got one order of signature pancakes, one order of matcha, one slice of raspberry cheesecake 6.99$ a piece or whole cake 24.99$. The cheesecake, was delicious, very small piece, a size of my palm, I have a small hand. Pancakes were very "eggy", if could say so. Like you are eating eggs & not pancakes. It is to expect since the mixture is mostly made of eggs & a bit of flour. They were fluffy too. Beautiful presentation. The place is extremely busy. The staff is courteous even though some people were very impatient!! However, only 2 grills are available to cook these pancakes, enough staff but no one looked in a hurry to serve the customers. Staff was a bit disorganized except one girl who was rolling this place. I think they could do better if everyone knows what their task is. All in all I gave 4 stars for their effort, curtesy & good food. But these pancakes are not my cup of tea. Bathrooms are in need of attention too, missing soap & paper towels.
