Our first time trying hot pots & Hadilao exceeded every expectation. The service was above & beyond, our server explained everything so clearly. There were tons vegetarian options to choose from & the atmosphere was so lively & fun. Lastly, the food was incredible! Cannot say enough good things about this place!View more

It was my first experience at Haidilao. I had the pleasure of being served by Oliver. He was very welcoming & was eager to assist me as I'm ordering my food. It was my first time eating hot pot, & he was more than willing to teach me how to use a chopstick for it, even helped me in creating a proper sauce mix for my food. We don't know well about chinese hot pot, so it was a little bit difficult to make own sauce. I want to find my favorite sauce.View more

Place is great but food was disappointing. we ordered the whole platter & there's just no way to know how long food should be cooked or when it's ready. Vegetables were okay but still, it's green vegetables like spinach or lettuce, it just fans out in the pot. Taste good but texture was bad. You have to pay to get dipping sauce on the side. Overall okay but it's not as expected, way under.View more

The food is great, the service is awesome & the ambiance is joyful. You have a wide range of ingredients, broths & sauces to choose up & customize to your liking. The staff are very friendly & helpful. You can also bring back the broth after to make more hot pot at home. They also have amazing lunch & late night deals. Amazing hot pot place! I didnt expected a place to give us such a treat! So well equiped in everything, if you need something to clean your hands, extra something, they provide, also super kind staff & the food really good! I would say that you expect to have something like a buffet but! The quantity & the prices are not bad at all & they have discounts depending at what time you go, so in the end the price its really worth it & sometimes you pay less & get so much nice food for less than a buffet.View more

Our waiter Lion gave us an AMAZING service! We came for my parents birthday month & he made sure they feel special. He sang happy birthday with enthousiasm litting up the room! Lion is really attentive to details making sure we don't miss anything. The restaurant is clean, has a good selection of food that we can order on a tablet (English French & Chinese available). It's an "à la carte" hot pot (not all you can eat) so it could become pricey. But aside of the price, it's worth it for the amenities & the A+ service.View more

This was probably the best meal I had in Montreal. This hot pot restaurant is one of the most fancy (as well as most pricey) hot pot restaurant I had ever been to. Everything was top notch even the fancy bathroom & the little things they think about. At the table, there are racks that you can place your food on so that your table is not over crowded. They have special performance on the handpull noodle. There is an ipad at each table for you to order food. The staff was very attentive. There is a sauce bar that has variety of different sauces & some dessert options. You can order 2 different types of broth or 4 & the price is the same. As mentioned, this is already expensive to start out. The price for the broth alone is the most expensive I have ever seen in hot pot restaurants. It tastes good thoughView more

Fondue Haidilao is a hot pot restaurant that is completely unrivaled! As soon as you walk into the building, the waiters will warmly welcome you & offer their services. The room is very clean & organized. In addition, the restaurant uses quality ingredients for their hot pot & provides a huge sauce bar with side dishes. They even clean up your table as you are eating! Also, they will sing a song & offer you a gift if it is your birthday. We were highly impressed by both the food & the service. It is quite impressive for their passionate service from the very first reception to the end doggy bag packing. Good quality meat & fresh seafood plus variety of tasty hot pot soup base. We love the franchise from Asia, so we decided to give it a chance here. We highly recommend reserving your table in advance since the wait time can be 1-2 hours, which is normal & similar to Asia. The service is good, with very professional & fast staff. While the food is on the expensive side, we understand it can't be compared to Asia, but the portion sizes were a bit small for the price point. The quality of the food is good, but it seems to be frozen rather than fresh. It's important to note that this is not an all-you-can-eat hot pot, so you have to order the broth & your dishes separately, & they also charge for the sauce station. I went to Haidilao for me & my girlfriend birthday, we were a group of 8. I enjoy eating hot pot but im not necessarily the biggest fan either. I went there with the expectation to have a decent souper with friends but it well exceed it. The food itself was good but what differentiate it to other restaurant is the service. The chef that makes the hand pulled noodle does a very good job to entertain the table while also making the noodles. The waitress was very nice & helpful. Would highly recommend going just for the amazing service but also dont forget to say the secret phrase.View more
