I love this spot for brunch on weekend
Their secret menu is amazing.
Not too much of wait time. Service is great. I would definitely try everytime i am in Montreal
I've been wanting to go for so long & it did not disappoint. Service was great & the food was delicious.
I think the pasta is a bit overcooked. The portion is small, even for a light eater.
The 25$ menu is a cost effective option. The portions are good & taste is fantastic! But make sure to reserve before, cuz the 25$ menu is only available for client with the reservation after 9pm :)
I'd heard so many good things about this restaurant, so I finally decided to try it out - but honestly, it was mediocre at best. I ordered the late-night table d'hôte, starting with a stale potato salad, followed by a dry, cold, & pasty truffle pasta that barely had any truffle flavour. For dessert, I got a sandy brownie that felt like a piece that sat on the counter for days. The wine selection by the glass was okay. Given that it's only 25$ for the whole 3 course menu, it's definitely not bad, but I expected so much better for such an institution.
salad hella sour bro
IF YOU ASKED ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE:
my food was genuinely absolutely delicious (braised beef thingy), which was like the special of the week or something
IF YOU ASKED ME WHAT I THOUGHR OF MY FRIEND'S FOOD:
my friend's food was just alright, & pretty regula
Exceptional cuisine. Exceptional service. That is what we crave. & it was graciously offered.
We came for my partner's birthday; we enjoyed it very much. Food was excellent, service was a bit slow but they were also busy so I could clearly tell they were understaffed however the ambiance & music made up for it.
I've heard about Foiegwa since forever & finally tried it for the Mtrl a table event.
First of all, the service was so warm & friendly. Professional while not pretentious. I felt we were really a regular at a neighbourhood restaurant even though it was our first time here.
Food was delicious. Fair portions. Well balanced in flavours except for the pasta which was a bit salty.
Atmosphere was casual & cozy. Great for a date night.
Would definitely come back again. We kinda fell in love with that spot. Wish brunch took reservations!
Service impeccable! Que du plaisir!
I'm honestly really disappointed with my brunch experience at Foiegwa today. My fiancé & I came here back in the summer of 2023 & had such an incredible meal that it stuck with us for years.
For my birthday brunch this November (2025), I decided to order the same thing - the chicken & waffles - but what came out was a totally different experience. The chicken was dry, overcooked, & served in small nugget-like pieces instead of the full, juicy portions they used to make. The waffles were also dry & lifeless, missing the balance & flavor that made the original dish special. For $25, it really felt like a downgrade. Thankfully, I added potatoes on the side - they ended up being the best part of the meal.

I'm giving 3 stars because not every dish here is bad (I've tried both brunch & dinner), but seeing how much this signature plate has changed makes me realize it's not worth the hype anymore. I really hope the kitchen revisits what once made their food great.
