I ordered the blue berry pancakes (13.50) & a strawberry late (7.50$). When i first ordered the strawberry latte i was told it was a best seller so i was expecting the latte to taste like that- strawberries. It simply tasted like a latte. When they replaced my latte (threw out their mistake in the back) it still only tasted a small amount of strawberry flavour for the first few sips. The waitress told me it was only supposed to be slight taste after their correction came back.. which is really disappointing because it's literally 7.50. Very skimpy on the fruits which continues with the pancakes. They do not taste like blue berry pancakes. You barely taste them- like at all. not to mention the pancakes tasted very bland. The sauce that came with it was great though. My friend has also ordered a vanilla latte & maybe we had terrible luck but it did not taste an inch like vanilla. Even after they came back with the drink after having "added" some, didn't have any vanilla flavour. Besides this- service was good & fast, we had good seating. Not too loud, & didn't have to wait to get our table. I understand the economy is wild right now but don't skimp out on the fruit guys, it sucks & it feels like a rip off.
Went twice. After hours set menu was good value & well presented. Drinks were good. Brunch was mediocre - I expected something more given the restaurant's reputation.
Would go back for the drinks alone. Boy am glad the bar tender from the Atwater Cocktail club was tending at Foiegwa that night! Sipped on the Golden Wind. Lots of ingredients in there but you taste ALL of them TOGETHER. Lots going on in there, enough for your taste buds to lose their minds! The gold is a nice touch but messy. The Cinco de Mayo was good too. Fun drink but would gladly just order a second Gold Wind. Food is also nice. Torchon is only ok (might actually only have oysters next time...or tartare as app) but the scallop risotto nailed it. First, risotto is cooked perfectly, titering between barely uncooked & cooked. The scallops were too few but perfectly cooked. Tender buttery & seared enough on the outside. Flavours were subtle yet bold & satisfying. Bravo. The tartare was good. Flavour is on point but I wish they had a cut that makes it more tender. It was a tiny bit too chewy. Would still order it again though. The dessert was good but forgettable. So I actually forgot what it was.
Tried the late night special. After 9pm, $25 for 3 courses plus deals on drink. Very good but not their best dishes. Understandably so given the price. Wife had the beef, not part of special deal but tasted real nice. Perfect service & nice ambiance.

Good appetizers, highly recommend frog legs. Drinks were very good too, both taste & presentation-wise. Pasta felt very anticlimactic, wouldn't order again. Atmosphere of a diner, good if you like cozy. Prices are a bit high for the portion size IMO
I have been there 3-4 times for both brunch & dinner. The dishes are always great, BUT the drinks are outstanding!! You might feel a bit cramped up in busy night. Overall is a worthy place to try! P.S. The fried chicken with waffle & the black truffle pasta with egg yoke are my top reformations.
While the bartender & her drinks were excellent, the dining experience fell short. Despite not being picky, I found that every dish lacked flavor. We waited over an hour for a small portion of pasta, which simply wasn't good. Regrettably, this experience has led me to the decision not to return & I would suggest exploring other dining options.

Service, food, drinks & ambience was excellent. One request: please back the awesome burrata that you folks used to make!
SENSACIONAL! Viemos no jantar e bos apaixonamos pela comida, ambiente e atendimento. Pedimos a fraldilha, o spaghetti trufado e o steak tartare para compartilhar e todos os pratos incríveis! Também, os drinks sao maravilhosos! Dica: peçam o La Madelaine!

Thank you for an incredible dinner service. The food & drinks were all delightful.

The food was decent! I felt the vol au vent wasnt as flavourful as it could have been & for $29, I was expecting something a bit more than what it was.
The spaghetti was the star of the night. 10/10.
Our server forgot about our drinks & we had to wait over 1hr, after ordering, for our main meals which was stressful for a 2hr reservation block.
Overall would come back, but not for dinner. Brunch is where it's at!

Yesterday (09-28), we went to Foiegwa to have a dinner, one of our friends ordered a virgin drink as we are both allergic to alcohol. Unfortunately, there was a mistake & she received an alcohol beverage which caused her to have a severe allergic reaction (swelling of the face + rashes all over) after taking 2 sips. Thankfully, I only had a small sip & my reaction was not as severe. Although this incident occured, the manager took great care of the situation & she was extremely empathetic towards us, I would like thank the manager who was present yesterday.

Foiegwa had the most beautiful atmosphere, & set the perfect mood for our wedding anniversary celebration dinner. From the jump, we were offered congratulatory glasses of champagne which was a welcome surprise! Our servers Chloe & Kelly were impeccable hosts, & made it feel like we had entered the best dinner party ever. They were attentive, offered up great options & explanations for drinks & food items & were patient, light & fun throughout the entire process. My husband & I even got some pretty spectacular photos out of the experience as Chloe graciously took photos for us. Listen Foiegwa has always been a fun choice for me, but after this night it became THE choice. Getting to share the experience with my husband was the cherry on top, as it was his first time. Thanks for the memories Foiegwa & see you soon! Ariane & Ryan xo

Aperçu dans une publication d'Instagram, très heureuse de cette découverte! Super service avec George! Tout à été excellent, drinks, entrées, repas & miam dessert! À retourner quand je passe à Montréal! ❤️

I haved dined at Foiegwas several times on my visits from NYC. I have recommended it to several friends traveling to Montreal. I dined there last night & it will be my last visit. We were seated very graciously by our waiter & given our menues etc. After a short wait, I ordered a cocktail & gave our dinner orders. All perfect. After 5 minutes my delicious cocktail was served & within 1 minute my order of velouté was brought to the table as well. I was not prepared to eat it immediately & was looking forward to enjoying my drink. The waiter came by & I asked ( politely) if he could take the velouté back to the kitchen to keep it warm while I drank my drink. He said he could but 1) it could not simply be kept warm & would have be thrown out & a new one made & 2) I should have informed him that I did not want them served together. I am not one to waste food so I did not send it back. First of all, how could I know they would be served together? Is it not customary to bring a cocktail first & let the guest have five or ten minutes to enjoy it? & why would the waiter want to make me feel badly or guilty about returning it to the kitchen? He could have simply taken it back without question & returned it to me after my drink, without the unprofessional explanation given. The rest of the meal was ok, not great. My spaghetti was not hot but luke warm. The bathrooms were quite messy (& it was early in the night). Napkins on the floor, trash overflowing. I ask if this is what is viewable to the public, is the kitchen in the same state? With regret, I will not be returning or recommending Foiegwas in the future.
