Their amba sauce is super addictive, i order that extra everytime & eat it with literally everything other than tea/coffee lol
The falafel plate was okay, the wood fire flavor of the pitas was good. The plate could have more vegetables instead of a pickle.
Falafels can be the worst food on the planet. Most chains & many places fry the falafel, let it sit until someone comes in to buy it. & it's a mess. Falafel Yoni is a totally different deal. First, falafels can come in sizes from kinger marbles, then to golf balls, & I've had some almost the size of hardballs. Then when you crack open the falafel, it should be green in colour. The outside should be crisp, the interior soft & pillowy. There should be a sesame forward dip to put it into, if it's not already in a pita sandwich. But the real way to know is just to eat it on its own. & these are delicious on their own. No dip. No pita. Nothing else. Just the falafel. Which is the litmus test. These are perfectly sized, crisp on the outside, & soft on the inside. The flavour is outstanding. You could just buy a bag & fight over it -- which is precisely what we did. If you don't like falafels, because all you've eaten are the marginal ones sitting in an aluminium pan that get microwaved when you order them for a sandwich, this is the cure. Also, they make a drink called Limonana -- which is made in house. It's a lemonade with mint. You can fight over that too. Or you can just go on your own or buy two orders of each.
I mostly do takeout, as the place is quite small & packed at lunch. Good food, chill people.
