Always the best sesame bagels in the city… St viateur is good too but these ones seem to always last longer.
Try a pretzel too & the blueberry bagel. Can't go wrong !
The place is a bakery specialized in bagels. Compared with the ones in New York, these are a bit thinner than that & the hole is larger. We have the one with garlic & classic with sesame. It was nice, nothing wrong on that, proce around $2 each. It was good.
However, they accept only cash or just Canadian cards. No sign of this at the entrance.
The lady who served us today was quite unpleasant: no smile, no customer service, didn't say thank you, seems like that we were disturbing her. I don't know, maybe she had a bad day, but from an iconic place that is marked a'must visit' in Montreal, i'm expecting something.
The rosemary bagel wasn't fresh. I was disappointed. The sesame is always fresh. Great service though!
Fantastic bagels! I got freshly made sesame bagels, & they were still warm when I had them - mind-blowing. I personally liked them even more than New York bagels
Warm & fresh bagels. We loved the sesame & bozo bagels. They only take cash or debit card just fyi.
Royal customer here for over two decades.
I might be wrong but the size getting slightly smaller than before?!
Their fresh chewy sesame bagel & the smoked salmon from New Victoria fish is a best marriage
Today's bagel is a sesame bagel from Fairmount in Montreal. This was decent… I really wish it was toasted with the cream cheese, or fresher because it had the potential to be amazing. I was going to get some to bring home so I could try but I won't be in that area again unfortunately. The bagel had a light interior but I felt it could have had a better crisp around the outside. Flavour was nice with a subtle sweetness but the eating experience left something to be desired. I had another untoasted bagel from St-Viateur after this & the texture was way more enjoyable. Seeds fell everywhere which I didn't appreciate. I'm sure these bagels are very good when you prepare them at home & I know that's really their specialty. For my eating experience, 7.7/9 bagels.

Freshly baked has a wide variety of bagels my favorite one the sesame yami yami.
Amazing bagels! The everything bagel is perfectly made- the fennel, onion, poppy really come through in the best way. I also enjoyed combining their sesame bagel with sweet toppings.
Very cool to see , the wood stove was really cool. We got the sesame & the everything bagels. The everything was really good & tasted differently than another bagel shop we were at,I liked the everything bagel better here. Wish there was a little spot to eat your food inside but it's a bakery & still worth getting!
Delicious bagels ! You can taste a touch of honey. Always warm & fresh out of the oven. Nice selection. Sesame seeds a must try.
I don't really understand the hype. The sesame bagel was pretty flavorless. If you want cream cheese you have to buy a large container, way more than you need for one bagel. I didn't see butter anywhere. $1.25 for a flavorless bagel with no butter or cream cheese is not a good deal. The service was pretty unenthusiastic. The employees didn't really seem like they wanted to be there. It's a tiny store. With five people waiting to order it was pretty cramped inside. Personally I have no need to go back & recommend skipping it.
This is where you will find the best freshly baked sesame bagels in Montréal.
One of the best bagels in Montreal! Open 24h, bagels are made on site & served freshly baked, many flavors available yet I think sesame is the best. No credit card, no debit card, ONLY cash.
Absolutely worth the hype. Dipping the still warm bagels in cream cheese on a bench outside the bakery was the highlight of my day. You can buy your cream cheese, hummus, or dip of choice there directly. I would go back next time I visit & try different types of bagel, but the classic sesame were simply amazing.
OMG! How come a simple bagel can be so delicious! Especially when it's just out of oven still fresh you can smell the sesame as well! We love the texture it's quite softy too. You can ask for cream & cheese on side (extra charge) & pair with it it's next level. It's cheap so you could buy different flavour to try out all together too! Store inside is quite small no place to eat the only thing they sell it's bagel.
