On a quest for a delightful breakfast experience, we stumbled upon this gem & were so impressed that we couldn't resist coming back the next day! Day 1: We started with Eggs Benedict, which were perfectly poached with a silky hollandaise sauce that melted in our mouths. The Montreal Breakfast Poutine was a revelation crispy potatoes, cheese curds, & savory gravy made for the ultimate comfort food. To top it off, the mimosa was refreshing & complemented the meal perfectly. Day 2: Equally excited, we returned the next morning to try more of their offerings. The Champion Omelette was fluffy, packed with fresh ingredients, & incredibly satisfying. The Massive Breakfast lived up to its name, offering a hearty plate that kept us full for hours. For drinks, the Espresso Martini was a bold & indulgent pick, while the coffee was a comforting classic. The service deserves special mention our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, & added warmth to our experience. The ambience was cozy & inviting, making it the perfect spot to start the day. This restaurant has earned a special place in our breakfast rotation. Highly recommend for anyone seeking great food, amazing service, & a delightful atmosphere!
Got it! Here's the updated review: --- **Review: Faberge** Faberge truly lives up to its name with a menu that offers a delightful array of dishes, each bursting with unique & vibrant flavors. What sets this café apart is the South American touch on their dishes, adding an exotic twist to the dining experience. One standout feature is their use of real bagels from Fairmount, which not only enhances the taste but also supports neighboring businesses. The coffee here is just a plus. Whether you prefer a robust espresso, a creamy latte, or a frothy cappuccino, you can count on it being just right every time. The baristas understand the art of coffee-making, ensuring that each cup meets the highest standards, no matter your preference. Located in the heart of Montreal at 25 Fairmount Ave W, Faberge is the perfect spot for a weekend brunch. It truly encompasses what Montreal is all about - a blend of vibrant culture, a friendly atmosphere, & delicious food. Decide to retry this place, we went there twice in the past two weeks. First experience was good, we sat outside & the waiter was pleasant & service was good. Order Benedict, latte & drink. The coffee is not good, it's the beans they used. Expected better coffee for the price. Went back a second time, this time around we sat inside instead of waiting for a table outside. Service was worst than outside, the waiter didn't seem he wanted to be there, we had to request for water. Order the Benedict as well & it end up having egg shell in it. Retry the latte, still not great. Probably won't be back in the near future.
Food was ok. Latte was good. Black coffee was stale, hardly warm. Staffs were courteous. Now, the place gives a regular dinner vibe compared early years of their opening had a fun vibe. Most of the time, we end up making a U-turn because of parking availability & long line-up. Experience is not worth standing in line outside for more than 15 mins max.
The ambience is cozy & clean. The service is ok overall. The food was good but the portions are pretty small (in my plate I had 1/2 slice of ham & 1 slice of bread). But I had lots of potatoes, which became a waste. The coffee is not included in your order, so you pay it separately. You have to ask for many things like salt, pepper, splenda... Because there is nothing on the table other than the drinks menu & the QR code for the menu. I had higher expectations.
We had a fantastic meal at Fabergé. It was a Saturday early morning & not too packed yet, but it got progressively more busy. We ordered the fried chicken & waffles & mac'n cheese benny, & both were delicious & done perfectly. They have a small menu for kids, & the items there were perfectly portioned & unique (our eldest got a pancake "nest" with a fried egg cooked into it). Even the side of fruit we got our youngest had a great variety. Service was attentive & everyone who served us was friendly. Our food came fairly quickly, & they ensured our coffee & water was topped up. There was an ample amount of street parking available for the many eateries around. We were on our way to the Biodôme, & the restaurant was only about 15-20 min away.
Made the treck to the plateau for this breakfast! Caramel coffee is a favourite & the food is delicious. I love the old spiderman cartoons they play on the tvs too!!
OMG!!! Worth the line & every calorie that I ate. It's highly recommend this place. Even the coffee is just unique. The sweetness in the milkshakes are just perfect, as a NYC resident usually sweet is too sweet & unhealthy at home. Cuisine in Montreal kmows how to balance the sweet. Loved farm raised benedicts w/ ham, & my matcha. Delicious everything!! I wish to have a perfect place like this close by.
This place never let's me down. The waitress was sweet & polite. No doubt that she actually enjoys her job & the food they serve. I had the short stacks & capuccino coffee & my friend, the pulled pork breakfast poutine with a mocha coffee. We both loved our meals. The menu is simple. It's not overwhelming & has something for all taste buds.
