Bienvenue au restaurant Ethan, situé sur la rue de la Gauchetière, coin St-Urbain, en plein coeur du quartier chinois de Montréal. Vous serez ravis de déguster cette savoureuse cuisine chinoise authentique, où tous les plats coûtent moins de 10$! Vous pouvez ainsi découvrir une variété de délicieux mets, tels du porc, du canard rôti, le fameux poulet Général Tao, ou bien la délicieuse soupe de vermicelles, préparée avec du porc BBQ au miel. The food was satisfying & met expectations. As with many Chinese restaurants, I didn't expect five-star service, so that wasn't a concern. While the portions were a bit smaller than at other places, the main issue was hygiene-specifically, the utensils, which had some visible food stains & overheard the family next table found a hair. That aside, I'd still consider coming back for a simple & familiar Chinese meal.Voir plus

Cela fait 2 ans que j'y vais tout le temps quand je passe dans le coin. Les repas ne sont pas chère du tout pour la quantité qu'il servent & goute très bon. Le service est TRÈS rapide & efficace. Le menue a une grande variété de choix (repas principal &'side dish'). Mon repas préféré est le numéro 110 (poulet general tao & riz) avec un bubble tea au taro. This is one of my favorite go-to restaurants! The food is tasty, the prices are very reasonable, & it's always a reliable stop whenever I'm nearby. My favorite dishes include the flavorful beef noodles, rice with sweet & sour pork chops, & a refreshing glass of Hong Kong milk tea or a delicious red bean dessert - simply perfect.

I adore this place for its countless options & immaculate HK drinks. However, the quality of its food just isn't consistent enough for me to recommend it to others. The chicken rice I ordered last week was the best I ever had, but the one this week? The taste was off & the green onion sauce didn't look fresh at all. Visit if you like a lil gamble.Voir plus

The service was excellent *despite being seriously under staffed*. While racing around like a headless chicken to all of her tables, our server managed to find an extra table to pull up alongside ours to make us more comfortable as we were initially quite squashed together.
But what really soured the experience & means I won't return to this restaurant is the manner in which they asked for a tip- rather than handing me the machine & allowing me to choose (& due to their good prices & good service I probably would have self selected 18%), instead the lady at the counter asked me'so how was your service today?' When I said'very good thanks' her response was'so will you be leaving a 18% or 20% tip?'
I've lived in Montreal for 6 years & felt like she was giving me the ignorant tourist treatment- putting me on the spot & forcing a higher tip out of me.
We will NOT be returning, this is a horrible way to ask for a tip & completely overshadows the hard work of your servers!!!Voir plus

WOW, comme on pourrait dire: Im going tapioca crazy! resto très trim, une vraie explosion de chaleur, visiter le ethan c'est comme visiter son vieil ami de longue date, aller voir big Sam quoi.
