Bienvenue au restaurant Ethan, situé sur la rue de la Gauchetière, coin St-Urbain, en plein coeur du quartier chinois de Montréal. Vous serez ravis de déguster cette savoureuse cuisine chinoise authentique, où tous les plats coûtent moins de 10$! Vous pouvez ainsi découvrir une variété de délicieux mets, tels du porc, du canard rôti, le fameux poulet Général Tao, ou bien la délicieuse soupe de vermicelles, préparée avec du porc BBQ au miel. Bref, le menu saura convenir à tous les goûts et appétits!
Le restaurant Ethan est d'ailleurs très connu par les gens du quartier, qui apprécient non seulement ses repas exquis, mais la rapidité et la courtoisie du personnel, qui vous permet ainsi de prendre le temps de manger votre repas du midi, surtout si vous êtes à votre heure de lunch!

I've been here often since I live nearby, & their beef & broccoli (#120) used to be a favourite. Unfortunately, I've gotten seriously ill after eating it on multiple occasions, once even so badly I was sick in the street, with stomach pain & diarrhea. Today was the final straw: I had the same dish again & was hit with intense pain almost immediately after leaving. I've since noticed other reviews mentioning similar experiences. Sadly, I won't be returning, & I want to leave a gentle warning for others.

The duck was a letdown, very dry. The char siu wasn't bad. Not pictured, but got the salt & pepper squid & it needed more flavoring.

There were 3 of us, & I have no notes. A great amount of tasty food for a very reasonable price. What made it better was the service, everyone was so friendly. 10/10 do recommend!

WOW, comme on pourrait dire: Im going tapioca crazy! resto très trim, une vraie explosion de chaleur, visiter le ethan c'est comme visiter son vieil ami de longue date, aller voir big Sam quoi. Vous direz à Annie que c'est moi qui vous envoie!;) Plus de 350+ items sur le menu & pourtant AUCUN sandwich. Depuis mon accident (Saint-Calyxte), ils m'ont réparé les pupilles! tellement c'est bon! Depuis que mon père a fait l'inacceptable, je me réconforte dans ces petits plats réconfortants…. Je crois avoir trouvé un sombre tunnel secret à l'arrière-resto, maintenant à votre tour d'oser! Merci c'était bon overall. Je vais revenir. Belle soirée entre hommes.

They showcase some cheap deals in the window, but the serving sizes are small. The food is standard - not much flavour. & the service is all about cranking through customers quickly. I'd recommend other restaurants in Chinatown for better food & experience.

Don't rely too much on the bad reviews. Fried rice is the best! BBQ & roasted duck & chicken are my favorite too!

Malgré une soirée bien chargée dans le restaurant avec beaucoup de monde le serveur nous a accueilli & à tout fait pour nous placer rapidement. La nourriture était bonne avec un rapport qualité/prix très bien. Certes la salle est bruyante mais c est compréhensible au vu du nombre de clients

It's fine. I'm visiting from Toronto & this place is just ok! It's a nice old school cantonse roast meat & rice restaurant vibes but the food could be better.

This is my go to place in Chinatown. Food is very decent & affordable. Don't expect anything gourmet, I've seen some really bad reviews but must be from tourists thinking they are going to the Ritz Carlton. It's Chinatown folks, it's good & inexpensive!
