Edit Oct 2023: Food was not as good as it was on our last visit. The guac & chips was very disappointing. The gyoza nachos looked & tasted different/ less flavourful, fish tacos were still very good, but all the others were just meh. Outdoor patio is cute.

Escondite Vieux-Port in Montreal is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was enchanted by the warm & cozy ambiance. The rustic decor & dim lighting create an inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for a night out.
Now, let’s talk about the food. The menu is a delightful fusion of Mexican & Southern cuisine, & every dish I tried was a flavor explosion. The tacos are a must-try; they’re packed with fresh ingredients & bold spices. The cocktails are equally impressive, with a wide variety to choose from.
What sets Escondite apart, though, is the outstanding service. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, & knowledgeable about the menu. They made great recommendations & ensured our dining experience was top-notch.

I loved the tacos; they were delicious. However, I had higher hopes for the pork ribs, but they turned out to be average & not very fresh. Usually, I get free nachos in Mexican restaurants, or even french fries with ribs, but that wasn't the case here. I'm disappointed. In general, if I go there again, I'll only order tacos (though it's unfortunate that you can't order mix combinations of tacos).Voir plus
