This place is an absolute gem for authentic Mexican food! The tacos were outstanding, especially the lamb - tender, flavorful, & perfectly balanced with fresh toppings. The touch of coriander & parsley added a refreshing burst of flavor that paired amazingly with the richness of the meat, making each bite unforgettable.

The atmosphere has a vibrant, genuine Mexican vibe that immediately sets the mood for a great night out. It felt warm, lively, & welcoming - the kind of place you want to come back to often.

A big shout-out to Charlie, who made the experience even better. He was genuine, attentive, & incredibly friendly, making sure everything was just right throughout the meal. Service like his really makes a difference & adds to the overall experience.

If you're looking for excellent tacos, great vibes, & fantastic service, this spot is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back! 🌮🍹

Our server, Darling, truly lived up to her name! She was absolutely amazing-bringing warmth, energy, & her beautiful personality to make our night unforgettable. The vibe, the service, everything was spot on. We'll definitely be back again soon!

Escondite was amazing! 10/10 would definitely recommend! I am from NYC & we have some great restaurants & this place was better than a lot of places back home. Services was amazing atmosphere & vibe was like a restaurant in soho. The dish that stood out to me the most was the tuna tostada. The flavors were extremely well balanced, unlike any other tuna dish I've ever had. I probably could have had 3 of those & been happy. We tried almost every single taco on the menu & nothing was bad, The nachos were also amazing. My favorite was the Birria & the Pollo Hermonos. Cocktails extremely well balanced! The waitress told us we picked all the best tacos ha! Will definitely be visiting this establishment again next time I am in town!! Thank you so much

This is for the people that have not yet tried this place because you wouldn't even bother looking at the review if you already went.. 1. Service, amazing. The staff always welcome you with warmth & kindness not once have I gone there & felt the same experience it's always better then the previous one 2. The food?! An explosion of flavours that will leave you asking for more before you even finish the plate. I often surprised myself ordering a second plate to go. 3. The vibe, delightful, good music, everyone is in a good mood it's as if your not even in a restaurant. Now If you other options I can tell you right now go ahead & cancel them they'll still be there ESCONDITE is the place to be. - shout out the staff y'all are a great team

Finally a cute retro chic mexican joint in Montreal with a modern twist!
Great food, great drinks, reasonable prices, interresting & warming decor & overall great vibe.

Was recommended to be by a friend & it way surpassed my expectations. Our party of 4 arrived on a Friday night with out reservations. We were greeted at the door & told it would about a 15 minute wait & was offered a spot at the Bar. The first thing you notice is the great décor. Not your cheesy Mexican joint, but a cool hip South-of-the-boarder vibe. At the bar we enjoyed some fantastic & unique cocktails (try the one with the chilli powder, can't remember the name). Within minutes our table was ready, we were seated & our wonderful server Alisha was ready to take our order.

The food choices are outstanding & vast. With it's tapas type menu it was fun to order food to share. The fish tacos, veg quesadillas & guacamole dip were outstanding, but personal favourite were the ribs (ordered a second plate just for myself)

Being to full for dessert we opted to move back to the bar, which was now fairly full & hopping, to enjoy some more cocktails.

All in all, it was a wonderful evening, with great food & excellent service & I cannot wait to go back for more.
