Le Escondite Cerveceria de Barrio est un restaurant mexicain situé au centre-ville de Montréal, à quelques pas du Quartier des Spectacles. On y sert de savoureuses spécialités mexicaines et des cocktails Tequila maison.
Escondite ressort comme une adresse mexicaine très appréciée pour son ambiance chaleureuse, son décor et son service attentif, avec des tacos variés (agneau, birria, al Pastor, baja fish) et de bons cocktails; les portions et les prix varient selon les plats, certains clients trouvant les portions petites ou les prix élevés pour la quantité, mais la plupart louent la fraîcheur et les saveurs ainsi que le menu découverte et le service multilingue. Des temporisations existent parfois: service lent, heure de fermeture plus tôt que prévu ou notes négatives sur quelques plats; toutefois l expérience globale est très positive et donne envie de revenir.
Wow! Amazing food & service. Went there for a birthday celebration with a group of friends, we shared many plates including tacos & other things. Prices are surprisingly good considering the quality. I would definitely recommend. Great selection of cocktail & mocktail as well!
Escondite was amazing! 10/10 would definitely recommend! I am from NYC & we have some great restaurants & this place was better than a lot of places back home. Services was amazing atmosphere & vibe was like a restaurant in soho. The dish that stood out to me the most was the tuna tostada. The flavors were extremely well balanced, unlike any other tuna dish I've ever had. I probably could have had 3 of those & been happy. We tried almost every single taco on the menu & nothing was bad, The nachos were also amazing. My favorite was the Birria & the Pollo Hermonos. Cocktails extremely well balanced! The waitress told us we picked all the best tacos ha! Will definitely be visiting this establishment again next time I am in town!! Thank you so much

Had a fantastic experience overall. Not only was the food hot & tasty, the service was quick & the servers were so friendly. Must recommend place if you're looking for some Tacos & Churros.
Really tastes good, great value for a fun night out. Our server Yona was excellent & made fantastic suggestions. Our favorites are the Tuna Tostada & Baja taco.
We just LOVED the food. It was so good. The gyoza nacho is a must try. Cornbread was warm & cozy. The vegan taco maybe ok but the cod & chicken more than make up for it in terms of flavor. We really enjoyed the service. They were cordial & very pleasant.
The food here was delicious & the service was impeccable. I would suggest that everyone visit this location. I came during my trip to Montreal this weekend & I will definitely return the next time I visit.I had the steak tacos & they were delectable.
One of the best spots for Mexican cuisine in Montreal! I enjoyed tacos filled with chicken & others with meat, & the quesadillas with mushrooms & cheese were great. The atmosphere is inviting, making it a cozy place to dine. Highly recommended for Mecican food lovers . You can take a nice walk in downtown once you finish
Première expérience, super ambiance, personnel sympathique & de bon conseil pour le choix du menu. Les tacos sont savoureux & judicieusement relevés. La barman avait beaucoup de style pour préparer les cocktails.
The spicy mango salad, mushroom & cheese quesadillas, & churros were incredible. Only disappointment was the tacos, not up to par with other authentic Mexican restaurants.

Le menu propose une grande variété de plats mexicains, tous aussi délicieux les uns que les autres. J'aims.particulièrement les tacos au poisson & le poulet El.Chapo. Les portions sont adéquates & les prix sont raisonnables. L'ambiance du restaurant est très agréable. La décoration est géniale & est parfaite pour créer une atmosphère détendue. Le service des employés, ills sont tous très professionnels, souriants & attentifs à nos besoins. Le gérant en particulier est très présent & s'assure que tout se passe bien pour les clients. Il est ine des raisons de nos visites régulières! Je recommande vivement ce restaurant à tous ceux qui cherchent un bon restaurant mexicain à Montréal. Amazing first time at Escondite! My server was Darling. Excellent recommendation. Food was very fresh, highly recommend the mango salad & tempura tacos. Really enjoyed this meal

I have been here countless times since I opened up a business a few doors down a year ago. Escondite is one of the last bastions of quality food at affordable prices downtown. Add in excellent service, great atmosphere, & a nice terrace. What more can you want? Yona in particular stands out. He goes the extra mile every time - management take note! My favourites are the tuna tostada & the fish tacos. The mango salad is also really nice.
Great atmosphere. Foods good but I found some of the tacos on the salty side. A few of us did the tasting menu & it was fairly slow to get each item after the next. Not an issue for us, but I can how that might be frustrating for others. Over all, nice. Place with good food. I'd come back again.
