We went for my brother in laws birthday & food was delicious. Food was served quickly once ordered. Staff was friendly & offered tailor orders for us & were patient with the younger kids in our group.
The food & drinks are on the expensive side, however the experience was worth it. Wish portions were a tad bigger. Only negative point.

C'est la première fois que je visitais ce resto avec ma fille. Nous avons adoré notre expérience. Nous étions sur la terrasse & la rue Wellington était piétonnière, donc c'était très calme. Nos drinks étaient très bons, ne goûtaient pas le chimique comme c'est parfois le cas ailleurs. Comme entrée, on a pris les nachos avec du fromage chaud à l'intérieur, c'était juste wow! Nos tacos étaient très bons, peut-être juste ceux au porc qui étaient un peu secs, mais on a ajouté un peu de la sauce qui était fournie dans l'assiette, & ça a été super correct. Nos préférés, ceux aux crevettes. :) On a oublié de nous fournir des ustensiles, & après, de nous donner des assiettes, ce pourquoi j'ai mis 4 étoiles & non 5 étoiles pour le service, mais les serveurs étaient super sympas. Nous comptons revenir parce que nous avons beaucoup aimé le resto & la nourriture.

This place is usually full in the evenings with great drinks decor & ambiance & their beautiful terrace in the summer. But people dont seem to know that they are also opened for breakfast /brunch. I just can not get enough of their chilaquiles verde & my boyfriend love their enchiladas gratinadas. The prices are super affordable. My big plate of chilaquiles was 13.95$. Seriously, come & try it out. It would be so sad if they stopped doing brunch.

One of my favorite Mexican food places, love the cool decor. Loved the mango salad. The cauliflower tacos are yummy 😋 michelada drink amazing 🤩 great service 🤠😁

First time visit on a whim. Not much of a greeting. Nice decor. Menu impossibly hard to read. Drinks & food slightly overpriced but good. Service was very sub par. They seemed very disorganized. Waited for much of our order. Was added two items we never ordered on our bill that we initially paid for. Got reimbursed. No sorry for the mistakes. Left full, but overall disappointed. If you want my loyalty, you need to do more to stand out...not gonna go back.

During the summer, wellington is walkable so there is a nice & quite terrasse to sit & enjoy the nice weather & be able to talk & share with friends, inside, the decoration is interesting & gives the sensation of cozyness. Food is very tasty with the blends of flavors that they do like the nopal & sirloin steak tacos, they have a variety of drinks/cocktails & the price matches the quality & amount of food. Recommended spot.

Very good food but the person that took my order was someone who proposed me the most expensive drinks & i was served with more tacos than what i told the waiter my bill came back to 120$ with the 15% tips i was pissed because nobody presented me any menu & i didn't knew it was prices for escorts & sugar daddies especially when im a lonely women who lives alone with a rent to pay on my own. I will never come back here.

This restaurant offers authentic Mexican food, though the portions are small & more suited as snacks. While the focus is on drinks, the atmosphere is pleasant. It would benefit from adding some homemade chili sauces. Overall, it's not expensive.

Nous avons passé une excellente soirée à l'Escondite. Service de José excellent, les plats étaient délicieux & les drinks parfaits. C'était notre première visite & de loin la dernière !

The dinner experience was awesome. The owner Mike served us today & we loved it! The food is an amazing fusion of asian & mexican flavours that are great for everyone!!! The ambiance was cozy & the drinks were delicious. Will definitely be back soon!! -Abraham

One word to describe our night... Amazing. Perfect for carnivores, pescatarians, vegetarians & vegans ! We were 6 people (3 couples), the waiter recommended the Escondite experience for 45$ (which we all took) it included guacamole & chips, mango & cucumber salad, chicken wings&ribs (vegan option cauliflower wings), mushroom & cheese tortilla, 3 kinds of tacos (fish, chicken &pork) & for plant based (cauliflower & vegan protein) & finally churros for dessert. Everything tasted so fresh & so flavourful. 🤤😍 The waiter also recommended the spicy margarita.... yuuuuuumm. I took 2 it was so delicious!! I hate cilantro & all I had to do is mention it & problem solved. First time I can actually enjoy so many mexican dishes without it ! Drinks & food was so good & everyone was completely full & satisfied at the end of the night. Service was perfect as well ! Food was so good we barely took the time to take pictures 😅 we stuffed our face instead! Thank you to our waier Jose 😁❤️❤️❤️

À travers un décor magnifique & chaleureux, nous avons été accueillis par José. En plus d'être accueillant, il a su nous conseiller sur nos drinks & notre repas. Escondite Verdun est un des meilleurs restaurants mexicain où je suis allé. Ingrédients frais & de superbes saveurs. Je recommande!

Second visit: what an incredible experience. Jose & both his parents greeted us so warmly, treating us like family. The food was absolutely incredible, everything tasting authentic & mouth-watering. The tasters menu allowed us to try so many different options & the drinks were delicious. The decor is out of this world. Wall mural by Stikki_peaches showing "The Last Supper" Nacho Libre style. First visit: Lena was an amazing waitress! We had such a great experience eating at the Verdun location. Lena was attentionate & kind. Was able to make amazing drinks. The food was absolutely out of this world. The Atun tostada was reordered at the end of the night because it was fantastic. All the tacos (chicken, baja, shrimp) were perfection. Would recommend 10/10

Super belle place, nourriture excellente, bon service ! Seul hic, faites attention si vous demandez une margarita, le serveur risque de la faire avec de la patrón sans vous aviser, donc ca monte vite à 16.95$ le drink, on aurais aimé le savoir avant d'en commander 5!
