Service was probably the worst we've probably ever encountered, which I was surprised by because I enjoyed my experience at the one downtown.

We waited a long while before anyone came to reception, & then when someone finally came & greeted us, he told us yes a table is available & will be back in 1-2 mins - & then never came back! We see him chatting with other servers at the bar, & I make eye contact with him several times, confused, & he just looks away (??) Finally we walked up to a waitress & asked for a table, & she clears one for us. Total wait time just to get seated was probably 20-30 mins - for a restaurant that was only half full.

From there, it took another long while to get menus, to order, & when we finally got our food there were mix-ups. We saw other tables near us experience the same thing, & we looked at each other super confused. Unfriendly service would be an understatement, it was like the customers were inconveniencing them.

For food, fish tacos were pretty good, but the other ones - the mushroom, the steak, were bland & dry. The drinks were ok. All in all, wouldn't recommend unfortunately.

excellente soirée au Escondite, la nourriture est fraîche & goûteuse. Olivia notre serveuse a été exceptionnelle! Nous n'avons manqué de rien. Je recommande sans hésitation !

Repas délicieux mais les portions tellement petites que la facture augmente rapidement. Les tacos sont delicieux malgré leurs très petites tailles. Les portions sont de style tapas & fait pour être partager mais quand il y a que 2 petits tacos dans l'assiette sans accompagnement ....C'est difficile de partager .
Le service est lent & la serveuse ne viens pas remplir les verres d'eau, ne s'informe pas si tout est correct & ne fais pas de suivi après qu'une autre serveuse ramasse les assiettes vides. Donc , laisses les clients à poireauter. Ne demandez pas de café car il n'y en as pas dutout. Nous avons attendu un gros 20 minutes pour des churros qui n'étaient pas assez cuit . Dispendieux pour les quantités servis, service moyen mais les tacos sont succulents!
P.s. aucun stationnement disponible , nous avons dû tourner plusieurs fois dans les petites rues pour trouver une place.

Nice tapas options, good cocktails, great decor inside & nice ambiance in the patio outside. Some good fusion ideas (e.g., Gyoza nachos).

We celebrated a birthday at Escondite in Verdun with a large group of friends, & it was an absolutely fantastic experience!
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. The service was exceptional-friendly, attentive, & always delivered with a smile. Everyone went above & beyond to make our celebration special.
The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, & the prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was vibrant, fun, & full of positive energy, making it the perfect place to celebrate with family & friends.
We highly recommend Escondite for any occasion, whether it's a birthday party, a family gathering, a night out with friends, or simply enjoying great food & drinks in a warm & welcoming environment.

There was one waitress & the place was completely empty including the patio. They used this excuse to not allow us to sit on the patio ? I guess they're doing fine without our business
