My husband & I had lunch at Escondite Verdun yesterday. It was our first time eating there. We were served by Pablo, who was super friendly, helpful & very courteous. The food was delicious!!! My son recommended the restaurant & I'm glad he did. Although there weren't many people in the restaurant at the time we were there, the atmosphere was very nice. I can imagine being there on a weekend night when it's packed.

Un grand 5 étoiles pour l'excellent (& surtout délicieux) moment que nous avons passé entre amis au Escondite de Verdun. La cuisine était excellente comme d'habitude, & le service particulièrement chaleureux. Mention spéciale à Eric pour son amabilité & son attention à notre égard. Je recommande vivement !

Nous y sommes allés vendredi soir , & l'ambiance était super. J'avais déjà visité deux autres Escondite, mais c'était la première fois qu'un mariachi était présent & belle animation ! Il a réussi à nous faire chanter, danser & rire pour une partie de notre soiree.
Nous étions un groupe de six & avons choisi de prendre « l'expérience » : un excellent choix. Chaque plat était savoureux, bien présenté, & bien portionné pour partager. Le service était chaleureux.
Stumbled upon this groovy taqueria while strolling down Wellington Street in Verdun. The gyoza nacho was AMAZING. & the corn bread & Miss Paloma were yummy too. Good vegetarian options.
J'adore aller à ce restaurant. La première fois, nous sommes allés à l'Escondite du vieux-Montréal & nous avons pris le menu dégustation. Nous avons été impressionnés par la qualité, la quantité & la variété de la nourriture. Nous avons eu un coup de coeur pour les entrées. Il faut dire que rendus aux tacos nous n'avions plus très faim. Nous sommes retournés à l'Escondite de Verdun pour prendre, cette fois-ci que des entrées. Nous en avons essayé de nouvelles & réellement tout était bon. Je recommande fortement cet endroit.

Verdun is the best place to visit in the summer & this beautiful place is one of the upsides on Wellington street. The atmosphere is great, also the service & the food. I love that their menu is not just traditional regular Mexican food, but they add originality & uniqueness to it, like matcha cream? Or some Japanese style on another options. You can see that is a beautiful & unique place.
Dining at Escondite on Wellington was a fantastic experience. The charming location & vibrant decor create a welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious with a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. Special mention goes to José, our server, for his attentive & friendly service. Escondite is a gem in Verdun, combining amazing food, great service, & a charming location. Highly recommended.
À travers un décor magnifique & chaleureux, nous avons été accueillis par José. En plus d'être accueillant, il a su nous conseiller sur nos drinks & notre repas. Escondite Verdun est un des meilleurs restaurants mexicain où je suis allé. Ingrédients frais & de superbes saveurs. Je recommande!
Super chill spot! The food we had was great! Margaritas were great, i loved the patron bottles they were served in. Jose was serving us, he was awesome. I Definetly recommend this verdun location.
Second visit: what an incredible experience. Jose & both his parents greeted us so warmly, treating us like family. The food was absolutely incredible, everything tasting authentic & mouth-watering. The tasters menu allowed us to try so many different options & the drinks were delicious. The decor is out of this world. Wall mural by Stikki_peaches showing "The Last Supper" Nacho Libre style. First visit: Lena was an amazing waitress! We had such a great experience eating at the Verdun location. Lena was attentionate & kind. Was able to make amazing drinks. The food was absolutely out of this world. The Atun tostada was reordered at the end of the night because it was fantastic. All the tacos (chicken, baja, shrimp) were perfection. Would recommend 10/10
First time there, GF brought me for my bday, had the experience & it was perfect, i highly recommend it if you have a hard time deciding what to get, it comes with 5 courses, my favorites were the corn muffing, they were soft & more like a cake, just amazing, the wings were just crunchy sticky saucy goodness, & the round of soft shelled tacos (2 fried chicken, 2 steak & 2 shrimp) were amazing, seafood is not for me so i let my gf have the shrimp ones, the service was phenomenal, super pleasant & just added to the experience, this is Verdun's new hidden gem & i highly recommend checking it out, would give 10 stars it it were possible.
Je recommande sans hésitation le Escondite Verdun! Bravo pour l'accueil, bravo pour la qualité de la nourriture & les saveurs typiquement mexicaines, bravo pour les cocktails qui donnent envie de s'envoler pour le Mexique. Surtout bravo à notre serveur José qui a contribué à rendre cette expérience unique.
