Le Escondite Cerveceria de Barrio est un restaurant mexicain situé au centre-ville de Montréal, à quelques pas du Centre Bell. On y sert de savoureuses spécialités mexicaines et des cocktails Tequila maison.

The food, drinks & everything about the whole experience was so amazing that I have contemplated packing up my whole life to move to Montreal. 10/10 will recommend to everyone I know travelling here!
I was downtown for a concert on Saturday & was looking for a place to eat. I found this restaurant on Google, called ahead, & asked if they could seat me in 10 minutes. They said yes, so I headed over.
When I arrived, I reminded them that I had called, & they confirmed they had a table for me. I was seated, went to wash my hands, & then returned to the table ready to order since we were on a tight schedule before the concert.
Unfortunately, from the moment we sat down to the moment we left, we were completely ignored. We waited over 20 minutes. No one came to greet us, offer water, take a drink order, or ask if we were ready to order food. We had menus in front of us & were clearly ready, but not a single staff member acknowledged us.
The restaurant wasn't even busy. There were plenty of open tables, so there was no obvious reason for the lack of service.
Given our time constraints, we had no choice but to leave & go elsewhere. The next restaurant seated & served us quickly without issue.
Very disappointing experience.

Stopped at Escondite for dinner before going to a Habs game. The service was quick & very friendly. The foods & drinks were very good. Nice atmosphere with Latin music.
We went to Escondite Drummond with coworkers & had a really fun night. Great Latin music & a lively vibe, plus the staff was super friendly & welcoming. The food is Mexican-inspired & overall decent, but not the most authentic Mexican in Montreal. Prices felt a bit on the higher side, but it's a solid spot for drinks, atmosphere, & a group outing.

It was my first time at Escondite, & it won't be the last! I arrived without a reservation on a super busy night, & even with the wait it was absolutely worth it. I could see how hectic it was, yet our French redhead waitress stayed cool, calm, & collected the whole time. As a server myself, I was really impressed by how polished & professional she was. Her fantastic suggestions, great food, & excellent drinks made the night. I'm already thinking of coming back with a whole gang for a holiday party!
Our server was awesome, but we had a reservation for 6 & didn't get sat until 6:30 which was disappointing. We explained to our server though & he made sure we got our drinks & food quickly! Overall great experience & it was a busy night after all.

Le service reçu était incroyable. Le gérant, ses employés ont été extraordinaires afin d'accomoder notre groupe de 40 personnes pour un départ à la retraite. Ils ont tout pris en charge, étaient super flexibles & réactifs à nos besoins, en plus de nous servir de la nourriture & drinks délicieux.
Nous voulons définitivement y retourner!!

The Biria was amazing, but the pastor was not incredible; it was pretty expensive for Montreal, but that's expected giving a central location downtown. The drinks were good, waiter super friendly but it took quite a while to have water & we had to ask twice. Overall enjoyed my experience. Was seated at the courtyard patio at the back, & it wasn't super loud, pretty cutesy
Love the waiters & the service is what you want it to be, Slow or Fast & their drinks are amazing. Great food, great drinks & the staff are great. Keep it up.
Absolutely amazing restaurant, the atmosphere is great, sevice was just right, & the most important the food was delicious & fresh. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Our servr was sweet & the food & drinks arrived super fast.
