They don't accept credit cards! You have got to be kidding me! Staff was also condescending!
A gem of a local Russian supermarket. Very friendly staff. I grab my buckwheat & hareng here. To my delight, they also have some German products. ✨
I found birch water here at a reasonable price. It's an interesting little shop with many products from former USSR countries. No credit card
J'aime beaucoup leurs pelmeni. La dame est très serviable. Il faut par contre apportez du cash ou une carte de débit. Les cartes de crédit ne sont pas acceptées.
I bought a Napoleon cake here for my friend's birthday last Thursday. She told me it was a tradition for her growing up, but it was impossible to find anywhere else.
The lady at Vova was incredibly kind & helpful. I don't know much about Russian cultures but she understood exactly what I needed & she even suggested some Russian drinks for the surprise party.
When my friend saw everything, she cried because it brought back childhood memories. I tried the cake myself & was pleasantly surprised - it was absolutely delicious.

I bought pastries & they were absolutely delicious & fresh. The young lady working at the counter was very helpful by bringing me a basket to get my things to my car. The shop is a little tight for space because there's a lot of variety.
VOVA is a great place to discover & shop for European groceries in Montreal. The staff is always welcoming, & the variety of products is truly impressive-plenty of hard-to-find items & familiar favorites from across Europe. It's clear they put care into curating their selection. The space is a bit tight due to how much they offer, & parking can be a challenge since the few street spots nearby are often taken. Still, the quality & atmosphere more than make up for it. A little gem for anyone who enjoys authentic European foods.
I love the lady who works there & their products. I've been going once a week & she really brightens my day. She gives great recommendations.
