Nice place with a great atmosphere & friendly staff, kind of weird that there was no music playing or anything. Unfortunately the food portions & quality are mediocre at best.
We had a group of 10 people, 8 out of 10 were pretty upset with their food.
We started with Calamari, it was delicious, but the portion was so small, you can barely split it with 2 people.
The roast beef sandwich looks like it's off the childrens menu, it's about the size of a hot dog with nothing on it but meat & a pepper sauce, & they charge extra if you'd like cheese on it.
Same with the black cod, you get a childrens portion of fish on pile of noodles.
Seafood cesar was tasty but has some tooth breaking crunchy bits in it. Waitress said it was a dried bean?
Ruins the salad.
Steak was cooked properly, but was chewy.
Overall our group left feeling dissapointed, hungry & ripped off.
Nice Atmosphere, Inconsistent Food.
?The restaurant has a great atmosphere & my first course, the Caesar salad, was excellent. Unfortunately, the mains were disappointing. My pepper steak was mediocre, & the accompanying mashed potatoes were extremely salty. More concerningly, my husband was incorrectly served pork ribs instead of the short ribs he ordered, though he didn't send them back. While I wouldn't run back immediately, I'm willing to give it a second chance.
Worst calamari I ever had. Small portion. Beet salad just go buy it at costco. Waiter not friendly. Expensive.
Really enjoyed everything. The salads are amazing especially the beet salad. We both had the burger....yum yum yum . Next time will be having the lamb. My only suggestion is that you might offer 2 sizes of wine by the glass. One is not enough & 2 is a little too much. When you are 2 dining & one doesn't drink a bottle is too much...but will certainly not stop me from going back time & time again.
5 stars, 10 stars a million stars! Wow! It was our first time at Embers last night & I can't wait to go back. What a great experience. The staff, service & modern chic décor all get an A+. The food...omg the food is to die for! I had the beet salad as an appetizer & the filet mignon as an entree. The filet was so tender I barely had to use my knife to cut, the potatoes left you wanting more, the veggies were cooked to perfection with a little light crunch. The seasoning was on point & beyond. Paired with a class of their Cabernet Sauvignon it was magical. This is by far (in my opinion) the best restaurant in Hudson & I've been to the others in the village several times. I can't wait to discover more from their menu.
Un excellent lunch, les ailes de poulets délicieuses & la salade césar très goûteuse. On reviendra sous peu!
04-2024 : service courtois, hamburger à la viande bien grillée. Les frites sont croustillantes, la salade de chou bien assaisonnée. Belle découverte.
