We went to Embers on a beautiful day hoping for a nice meal, but it left us with no desire to eat out again anytime soon. The fish & chips were over-battered & served in a plate with a pool of oil, even the fries were soaked & inedible. The burger wasn't any better, & the fries were overly salty. Service was blunt & unwelcoming. Sadly, we won't be returning.View more

Three friends ate at Embers recently & had a wonderful lunch. This is our 4th time here & the food is really delicious. I had the scallop & shrimp roll with their wonderful fries. What a generous portion ! My friend had the roast beef sandwich & my other friend had an open-faced roasted vegetable sandwich. We all enjoyed our meals. Sadly we didn't have any room for dessert.View more

The service was adequate, not stellar. My partner's filet mignon which he ordered medium rare was almost well-done. My fish & chips was awful. The over battered fish was greasy & the fries were so salty that after a few bites, my lips & mouth hurt too much to continue. The drinks were good but we won't return. Quite pricy for a disappointing meal.View more

Really enjoyed everything. The salads are amazing especially the beet salad. We both had the burger....yum yum yum . Next time will be having the lamb. My only suggestion is that you might offer 2 sizes of wine by the glass. One is not enough & 2 is a little too much. When you are 2 dining & one doesn't drink a bottle is too much...but will certainly not stop me from going back time & time again.View more

5 stars, 10 stars a million stars! Wow! It was our first time at Embers last night & I can't wait to go back. What a great experience. The staff, service & modern chic décor all get an A+. The food...omg the food is to die for! I had the beet salad as an appetizer & the filet mignon as an entree. The filet was so tender I barely had to use my knife to cut, the potatoes left you wanting more, the veggies were cooked to perfection with a little light crunch. The seasoning was on point & beyond. Paired with a class of their Cabernet Sauvignon it was magical. This is by far (in my opinion) the best restaurant in Hudson & I've been to the others in the village several times. I can't wait to discover more from their menu.View more

It's absolutely amazing! There was some hype in town about the fish n chips, so, as an avid fan of the dish, I decided to try it out. It made my Top 3 best in the world list, slightly edging out The Red Lion Pub in London. If you like proper fish & chips as much as I do, put this cozy little place on your list of "must try" restaurants.
