The service & ambiance were very good; however, we were a bit disappointed with the food & drinks.
We ordered non-alcoholic drinks without ice, but they arrived only half full. The portion of fried calamari was also quite small for the price. Unfortunately, the fries served with our main dishes were overcooked, to the point that they were noticeably brown & lacked the quality we expected.
Overall, while we enjoyed the atmosphere & service, the food & drinks did not meet our expectations given the prices.
First time dining experience. The beet salad was worth coming back for! Enjoyed pre theatre with great friends.
This is the secret jewel in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges area, home in Hudson. Long time restaurant experts from service & second to none food options, this place is a great location for family events special occasions & your everyday outing for a great dinner.
Staff is courteous & friendly & food is awesome. You won't regret it.
Nice place with a great atmosphere & friendly staff, kind of weird that there was no music playing or anything. Unfortunately the food portions & quality are mediocre at best.
We had a group of 10 people, 8 out of 10 were pretty upset with their food.
We started with Calamari, it was delicious, but the portion was so small, you can barely split it with 2 people.
The roast beef sandwich looks like it's off the childrens menu, it's about the size of a hot dog with nothing on it but meat & a pepper sauce, & they charge extra if you'd like cheese on it.
Same with the black cod, you get a childrens portion of fish on pile of noodles.
Seafood cesar was tasty but has some tooth breaking crunchy bits in it. Waitress said it was a dried bean?
Ruins the salad.
Steak was cooked properly, but was chewy.
Overall our group left feeling dissapointed, hungry & ripped off.
Disappointing. We were a party of 14 & they sat us at 2 separate tables. When we asked if we could push some nearby tables together, the server refused & said they're'fully booked tonight.' It was 4:30 pm. She obviously just didn't want to be bothered. The same server seemed put out by small requests (ex: May I have a glass of ice? May I substitute mashed potatoes for fries?). Her attitude improved considerably when it came time to pay (wonder why). Incidentally, as we left 2 hours later, the nearby tables still sat empty. The food was ok but they really need to work on their service.
Service rapide & efficace. Très sympathique. La nourriture était excellente! Savoureuse & cuite selon notre demande. On a adoré l'expérience. Je compte y retourner même si j'habite loin!
Good job à toute l'équipe
Worst calamari I ever had. Small portion. Beet salad just go buy it at costco. Waiter not friendly. Expensive.
My friend & I went to this restaurant to'splurge' on a good meal on a rare night out with our big kids. What a mistake! After waiting at least 15 minutes to order, we asked for 2 seafood rolls, 2 burgers & one fish n chips. Our waitress came back 5 minutes later to tell us they were out of seafood rolls. Super disappointing because we didn't really want anything else from the very limited menu. We ended up ordering burgers too. What a mistake! The fries & the burger were SO salty it was awful (& I am usually a fan of salty!). Also the burgers were quite burnt. Between the extreme salt & burnt taste, none of us finished our meals (including the teen boys who are usually unstoppable!). The wait staff was also very slow in filling our water - & we were VERY thirsty from all the salt! We also ordered a starter of fried calamari ($20) & wondered why the order was so microscopic for that price. Very disappointing. The fish n chips was crispy but that is the only positive thing $200 later. In theory it seemed like a good idea at the time but in practice we will never be going back & absolutely do not recommend. Any fast food restaurant will make a better burger & fries than Embers. Save your money & go somewhere else.
Stunning interior. Calming & quaint terrace. Food is exquisite, & the service was warm, friendly & professional. Absolutely love it! can't wait to come back.
