What a mistake! After waiting at least 15 minutes to order, we asked for 2 seafood rolls, 2 burgers & one fish n chips. Our waitress came back 5 minutes later to tell us they were out of seafood rolls. Super disappointing because we didn't really want anything else from the very limited menu. We ended up ordering burgers too. What a mistake! The fries & the burger were SO salty it was awful (& I am usually a fan of salty!). Also the burgers were quite burnt. Between the extreme salt & burnt taste, none of us finished our meals (including the teen boys who are usually unstoppable!). The wait staff was also very slow in filling our water - & we were VERY thirsty from all the salt! We also ordered a starter of fried calamari ($20) & wondered why the order was so microscopic for that price. Very disappointing. The fish n chips was crispy but that is the only positive thing $200 later. In theory it seemed like a good idea at the time but in practice we will never be going back & absolutely do not recommend. Any fast food restaurant will make a better burger & fries than Embers. Save your money & go somewhere else.
We went to Embers on a beautiful day hoping for a nice meal, but it left us with no desire to eat out again anytime soon. The fish & chips were over-battered & served in a plate with a pool of oil, even the fries were soaked & inedible. The burger wasn't any better, & the fries were overly salty. Service was blunt & unwelcoming. Sadly, we won't be returning.
Really enjoyed everything. The salads are amazing especially the beet salad. We both had the burger....yum yum yum . Next time will be having the lamb. My only suggestion is that you might offer 2 sizes of wine by the glass. One is not enough & 2 is a little too much. When you are 2 dining & one doesn't drink a bottle is too much...but will certainly not stop me from going back time & time again.

Nice place. A step above the standard casse croute. Good standard food items, good portions, fish & chips, burger, grilled veggie sandwich etc. Good service. Nice furnishings, cloth napkins, high quality cutlery, glasses etc. A step above . .
