My cousins & I came here & had the best time!! It's the smallest bar in Canada with great rum drinks. Jackson the bartender has such a great vibe & made the whole experience!
Wandering around the streets of Montreal we stumbled upon this little gem. Jackson invited in & told us all about the place. We aren't (or weren't) rum drinkers. Jackson asked us what we usually drink & he fixed two amazing cocktails.
He was a great host we wound up coming back the next three nights in a row. Meeting new visitors each night. A fun & cozy must stop for anyone that enjoys a good cocktail & fun conversations.
Jackson was beyond the standard of fabulous. This warm & inviting tiny bar serves fabulous rum-based drinks to kick the night off with a bang. Jackson's mannerisms, story telling, & whimsical skill set with the shaker will leave you wanting to come back every weekend. Incredible experience, Jackson created an unmatched environment that is both friendly & sophisticated. The hurricane & watermelon mojito both staples in rum based cocktails, were made stupendously! A surprising addition to the smallest bar in Canada is the warm & crispy cubano. A real must in Montreal.
El Pequeno is a wonderful spot! Jackson is an amazing host & bartender, always making you feel welcome with his friendly vibe. He offers great drink recommendations & is super knowledgeable. With great music & one of the best rum selections in Montreal, it's definitely a place worth visiting!
The Cubano slaps & is a cost effective solution to wanting to drink more but not having eaten. Also good rum selection for the city, the bartender (Tristan) was very friendly, & he made a hell of an off-list jungle bird.

Oh my god. What a fantastic experience at El pequeno!!! Will took incredible care of us & explained multiple rums to us. Cocktails were excellent, what a talented bartender. I can not wait to be back
A tiny bar located right next to The Coldroom & across from Bar Bisou Bisou, El Pequeño bar stands out from its sister bars. Like it's name, its very small, seats less than 10 people & little standing room. But rather than detracting, it adds to the intimacy of the bar & a close knit vibe. The cocktails are all Cuban twists on rum based classics like the daiquiri & Pina Colada. I thoroughly enjoyed the drinks!
Great small rum bar, somewhat connected to the Cold Room. Cozy, intimate atmosphere. Best rum selection we've seen in Montreal. Great rum cocktails, & the bartender can also improvise off-menu. We had amazing chats with him about different rums & he's super knowledgeable.
