Great papusas! I would recommend the revuelta!! Frijol are good, but not as good as some other places in Montreal. Plantain was cooked perfectly.

Le meilleur restaurant salvadorien de Montréal ! Les pupusas sont tout simplement excellentes, la cuisine traditionnelle est délicieuse & authentique, & l'horchata est un vrai régal. Chaque plat me rappelle les saveurs de mon pays.
El Chalateco, c'est un petit morceau du Pulgarcito de América en plein coeur de Montréal. Si vous souhaitez découvrir la véritable cuisine salvadorienne ou retrouver le goût de chez vous, je recommande cet endroit sans hésitation. Le service est chaleureux & l'ambiance est accueillante. J'y retournerai avec grand plaisir !

J'ai été agréablement surpris des bas prix du resto ainsi que de la qualité des repas, c'était ma premiére expérience dans un restaurant salvadorien & j'ai beaucoup apprécié. Je recommende fortement à tout amateur de cuisine latine!

Tried my first el savadorian cuisine here & it was perfect. We came in early so didnt wait but by around 6:30 ish we saw a lot of people waiting. Ended up getting asked to leave cuz there were people waiting, but it is what it is. Good meal tho

Les deux dernières fois que je suis allé manger au El Chalateco le service était lent, trèeees leeennnttt... 45 min à 1 hr 25 minutes d'attente. Comment est-ce possible??? Des tables vides & des gens qui attendent debout pour se faire assigner une place. Les pupusas sont toujours très bonnes, malheureusement elle sont plus petites & il manque de viande. Bref, les propriétaires devraient réévaluer leur business.
