We went to Laval branch not in Montreal, we were a bit worried about speaking English to order, but it not problem at all. I was really eager to try Montreal smoked meat, & of course, we couldn't leave Montreal without having some poutine. When we weren't overly hungry, we decided to order poutine with smoked meat as one of our dishes. "Wow, it's so volumey!" I said when the server brought over the plate. The smoked meat was absolutely fantastic! The poutine was delicious too, but we noticed that mixing the two might not fully bring out their individual flavors. I recommend ordering them separately: smoked meat & poutine. The table setup was adorable, & the atmosphere was fantastic! Merci.
The person at the cash didn't properly explain the difference between lean & medium meat. I ended up taking 1 lean & 1 medium order & both of them were dry.

Première visite à ce restaurant malgré qu'on me l'ait conseillé à quelques reprises. L'endroit est agréable, le personnel est efficace & la décoration est bien choisie. Pour ce qui est de la nourriture j'ai été bien déçu. C'est rare que ça arrive mais je crois pouvoir dire que je n'y retournerai jamais. La viande fumée était froide, sèche & mal assaisonnée. La majorité des frites dans nos assiettes étaient trop cuites, le cornichon n'était pas très bon mais la salade de choux était correcte ... Dans le futur lorsque j'aurai une envie soudaine de viande fumée j'irai au redtaurant l'As du Smoked Meat ou bien chez Jarry Smoked meat.
