i really don't get the hype. the sauce is quite bad - it tastes very similar to a can of Campbell's SpaghettiOs. the place is visually charming, though.
Franchement, c'est délicieux & réconfortant quand y fait froid , surtout pour 6$, c'est vraiment pas cher.
Le 3 étoiles c'est pour la fille qui avait l'air bête & qui m'a demandé 30¢ pour une fourchette en bois supplémentaires alors que j'avais déjà payé pour 3 plats.
Elle m'a dit les baguettes c'est gratuit mais pas la fourchette, franchement.
Honestly? The gnocchi is good, it's the sauce that's pretty bland. It's too sour! There's a bit of an indecipherable aftertaste too. It tastes like cheap store bought pasta sauce unfortunately. Improved by the spice, but not by much.
I keep coming back because it's hard to beat a hearty $5 meal! It warms you right up on a cold autumn day. But it's by no means stellar.
Service is always amazing though, really nice people. & there's seating nearby which is great bc it's no food indoors
Would love to see a vegan cheese option! Also would be nice if the toppings could be sandwiched into the gnocchi, so the whole thing is spiced/cheesy & not just the top
Highly overrated. I still don't understand what's the hype about. Apart from the price, which is honestly cheap, & the nice, kind staff, the gnocchis themselves are ordinary. & the sauce is below average, too acidic & oily with no distinct taste or flavor.
Taste is very dependent on when you go & how long the pot has been on. Goes from really good to ok. Considering the price you'd have to be a bit daft to complain, it's always satisfying
