Gnocchi's are what they do. With or without cheese, spicy or regular tomato sauce.
The concept is simple & it works. Found the gnocchi a bit tough but still tasty & the sauce good. So for 5-6$ roughly its an amazing deal & comforting. But good luck finding a parking & a place to sit outside to eat.

What could be better than a box of pillowy soft gnocchi smothered in homemade tomato sauce? 🍅 Settle yourself onto a bench nearby & watch the neighbourhood go about its business while you eat. Delicious!

Pillowy soft, Nonna-approved, & famously $5. 🍝✨
If you've walked through the Mile End, you've definitely smelled the garlic & tomatoes wafting from the iconic window of Drogheria Fine. There is something so satisfying about holding that warm white carton (usually reserved for Chinese takeout!) filled with the most comforting gnocchi in Montreal.
Did you know? The gnocchi wasn't actually the original plan! Drogheria Fine opened as a simple grocer to sell their family's authentic Calabrian tomato sauce. The gnocchi window was only started as a'tasting station' to help promote the sauce. It became such a massive hit that it turned into the legendary Montreal staple we know & love today. 🍅❤?
Whether you like yours with a little extra kick of chili or a mountain of parmesan, it's a must-stop every single time.

We were brought here as part of a food tour on the Montreal Mile End. The gnocchi + tomato sauce was really delicious & for the price nothing can be beat!

We wouldn't have heard about this place had it not been for our tour guide Eric so we were glad to have it as a stop on the tour. There was a large lineup outside (there is no seating inside) but it seemed to be moving quickly.

They don't accept credit - cash or Interac only!

Absolutely amazing! The food was delicious the gnocchi with tomato sauce & parmesan tasted fresh, rich, & homemade. The service was super friendly & welcoming, & everything came out just right. The place was very clean, & the atmosphere had a unique, cozy charm that made the whole experience even better. Honestly, one of the best spots I've tried in Montreal. Highly recommended!

If you complain about spending 6.5$ including tax for a takeout box of fresh gnocchi with great tomato sauce, Parmesan & chilli flakes, then you seriously have an issue!!!!! This place is amazing for what you get! A definite stop ❤?

The gnocchi texture was very good, but BE WARNED: the sauce is not typical Italian marinara. It tasted similar to Chef Boyardee or even close to tomato soup or a Tteokbokki sauce.'With cheese' was very misleading-it's a small sprinkle of parm on top (almost like kraft). If you're expecting Italian marinara, you will be disappointed. Not sure that I would go back. Other people in my party liked it, but didn't love it.
