I'm a big fan. Bring your own fork/spoon. They charge $0.30 for a fork, however they offer free chopsticks. Either pay with cash or Canadian Debit. Something to note is Canadian Debit means any card with an Interac logo on it. CREDIT CARDS are NOT Accepted.American debit cards or prepaid cash cards are often AMEX, Visa or Mastercard ONLY & are not acceptable here. There is an ATM available right nextdoors or a quick 5min walk to the nearest Scotia Bank Branch. I always get extra cheese with extra extra extra spice
Knew about this place from its hype online but actually just stumbled past it unintentionally as it's located near lots of other popular eats! Simply cheap & tasty. It is a bit plain & the sauce kind of reminds me of Chef Boyardee, but it was delicious nonetheless. After all it's only 6$ (cheese is 1$ extra).
Great gnocchi for a great price! Low effort for customer as there are very limited choices, few options between cheese, chili flakes & that's it. We'll located & seating available nearby outdoors
Cheap, tasty, fillings hmm what else I can say? This place is located next to Fairmount bagel, so after I got my bagels I went & got $5 gnocchi with cheese. It came on chinese take out boxes with wooden chopsticks. There's an extra $ if you'd like the fork. Taxes included on the price.
The food is really good considering the price. I chose the option with cheese & flakes & it was indeed spicy but delicious. The line was long but moved fairly quickly.
The gnocchi at Drogheria Phine is always amazing, with LOTS of sauce, please always ask for extra cheese, you'll thank me later. P.S.: Don't forget to bring cash or a debit card, they don't accept credit cards. P.S.2: Get there early (around 11 am) if you don't want to wait in line. P.S.3: Next door is Fairmount Bagel & on the corner is the best cannoli in the area, so be prepared for a feast when you go!
For 5 dollars, you can't get better gnocchis anywhere else! Lots of cheese, lots of tomato sauce, & lots of gnocchis.
Glad to support small businesses. Interesting take on gnocchi. First time I've ever seen Italian served in a Chinese fast food container with chop sticks. Excellent flavor in the sauce & cheese. Excellent value also.
Actually I went to the street to try ice cream & there was a long line for gnocchi. Smell was so good & the line made me to try it. The sauce was good & extra cheese & pepper flakes made it even better. But I didn't like the texture. It was too soggy. It was fun to try gnocchi in a Chinese takeout box with chopsticks. Gnocchi was very tiny so folk is much easier to grab it.
This is absolutely worth the wait! So delicious & only $6.50 for the extra cheese & spices. I'd wait in line for this all over again
I mean, it's a storefront that serves one thing - gnocchi. Served in a Chinese takeout box with chopsticks (forks cost extra) with options of as is, extra cheese, spicy, or both. Grab a box & sit on the benches out front to eat. Very very addictive!
The best 6.75$ I have spent. If you are someone with a good spice tolerance, you should try cheese & spicy for use.
Quick & delicious! When a place does only one thing, they better do it well. Drogheria's gnocchi is petite & with just the right amount of sauce. I recommend getting it with extra cheese & spice. (It's a generous spice. Since it's red pepper flakes added on top, you can ask them to hold back a little bit.) Chopsticks are free. Forks are available for a slight cost. Find a nearby bench & enjoy!
Yummy food at a reasonable price. The portion in that small-looking takeout makes you full for a while. The sauce & parmesan cheese are reminiscent of my grandma & my mother back in the day. There is no place to dine in & also if you have only a credit card you are going to be in trouble. It all depends on you how much love this food or the nostalgia around it.
For five bucks, this place is beyond worth it. An entire Chinese takeout box of gnocchi with tomato sauce & option of additional cheese &/or red pepper flakes! It's the only thing they serve, & they get it RIGHT. Pillowy soft & petite gnocchis. Super saucy, which I prefer. Do not skip this food counter as part of your Mile End Fairmount Ave tour!
Really cheap delicious gnocchi with cheese & chilli flakes, great value & really tasty!
Great concept, excellent gnocchi. The extra cheese & chili flakes option is the move here. Great service too! Cash only, closes at 6pm
I wanted to love it so much!!!...but the sauce smelled better then it tasted...I mean it's ok but definitely overrated. Food is cheap & it's at a good price but the sauce is too liquid for me. I prefer my sauce thicker. & also, the cheese is super disappointing...I was expecting fresh mozzarella or fresh cheese on top but it was very ordinary parmesan. & not the best kind either... Glad I've tried it but not going back...
