We celebrated my husband's 40th birthday at Restaurant Di Menna & it was excellent! The new modern look of the restaurant as well as the gorgeous bar area created the perfect ambience for our event. The food was cooked to perfection & did not disappoint. I did not have to bother the waiter for anything, he was always one step ahead & took care of everything. The service was 5-star remarkable & really elevated the experience to another level. Our party was made to feel at home & free to play our own music. The owners were there to greet us & ensured we were taken care of. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for the full package. It was truly amazing!

Wanted to organize a party here as I had heard great reviews, so I went to try it out for a dinner with my husband & speak to the management concerning our event. One of the worst restaurant experiences I've had.
Staff: Extremely disapointed with this restaurant. Attempted to communicate with management & found that speaking to the owner was an impossibility as he was too busy (bear in mind it was a VERY quiet Monday night, ridiculous) We were "lucky" enough that the manager was there at the moment & spoke to him instead. He was a very arrogant & had an overwhelming scent of sweat (really not the odor you want when you're going somewhere to eat.) He brushed off our questions, showed no flexibility & was overall extremely pompous, hot-headed, unhelpful & an embarrassment to himself.
As for the actual service, we were served by a waiter named Erico, very sweet & charming man who showed a lot of care & passion for his clients.
On to the food: extremely bland! the steak was overcooked. Very disappointing. Did not meet any of our expectations.
Decor: so out-dated. Made us feel as if we were dining in a cave in the middle ages. No light, no life, no wonder it's so quiet there. Update the look a bit people, it's called an investment.
Overall I'd stay far away from this place there are many much better restaurants within walking distance.

First let me give you my history of this restaurant.
First time I dined here must have been in 1991 for my wedding engagement party, 1992-1993 several times with my new wife, 1994- 1st daughters baptism , 1996 second daughters baptism & 1996-1999 several more simpler dinner dates.
Fast forward October 2012, & I am inclined to tell you why I stopped going for almost 12 years.
BORING FOOD & stale decor.
The food was good but not great, same old, same old.
I know that this formula has worked for so many years but for heavens saké please go see the trendy restaurants out there, they are gorgeous! Your clients deserve it, they've been paying top price for a great meal but invest in your place. It's clean but stale.
The menu needs to incorporate some new cuisine, have the owners been to Italy lately? They are still living in the past & that's ok for the older generation but they must bring on some creative dishes from the present time.
I don't mind coming back but please inspire me, inspire yourselves first.
Service was impeccable!
By the way you're out of Masi Campofiorin wine, 1.5 litre format.!! That shouldn't be happening.

great spot if looking for good italian food in montreal , great place to have family get together or party
