Come here for the wood fired pizza & the deli side. Food is always good. Staff always friendly.
On this occasion, young lady at the counter on the pizza side was a little lacking in promptness & organization: I had initially called to place an order for my pizzas - in the car from Beaurepaire & Woodland. She put me on hold. I had time to get there & was still on hold: she had forgotten to take back the line, pretty ordinary since when I got there, there was no clients at all on the pizza side.
Then, I ordered my 2 pizza & 2 tiramisus at the counter. Went on the deli side to buy some stuff... Got back on the other side, got the pizzas, but she forgot to pack my tiramisus, & my bad as well, I forgot to check... Only realized at home that I didn't have them & forgot to check before I left. Would have been pratical that they were prepped with my order ready to go....
Luckily the pizza was good as usual. Service from this young lady not so much....

& the cannolis? Simply amazing. The shells are perfectly crisp, the filling creamy & delicately sweet-pure perfection. They're the kind of dessert you think about days later.

Amazing meatballs & sandwiches. Chocolate chip cookies are delicious & service was excellent. Line moved very fast. Definitely will be back again to try other items. Pizza smelled delicious
Delicious Italian deli with amazing sandwiches, fresh cannolis, & a dessert section that's truly a must-try! The quality of the food is always top-notch. The only thing I'd love to see improved is the cappuccinos - a little upgrade there would make the place absolutely perfect. Still highly recommended!
OMG, just tried their lemon donut bombolini & it's soooo good. Pizza was amazing too. Also the prosciutto was great, not the fancy DOC one but still soft & not too fatty or salty. Meatballs were delicious, sauce was very tasty. I did mush some meatballs up & put them on my pizza, delicious.

What I love about Deli La Trattoria:
1) The place is busy depending on the times & days.
2) They cater to Italian 🇮🇹 products.
3) Location is perfect because near the highway & main roads.
4) The store looks clean & well maintained. They speak French & English
What I did not like:
1) Not enough benches for eating outside & parking lot may be full.
2) The store is small so selections may be limited & it feels narrow.
3) Some Pret à Manger items may not be available.
Final thoughts:
A) I tried their Sous-Marin sandwich & it was delicious They warm it for you & the service is kind & polite. It's a go out & try it. God Bless you for that.
B) Please add flags of USA 🇺🇸 Italy 🇮🇹 Canada 🇨🇦 & Quebec for patriotic symbolism if you can.

The best Italian store in Montreal. The staff at the dessert section were incredibly warm, friendly, & absolutely lovely. Their kindness truly created a beautiful & pleasant experience. The handmade oven-baked pizzas & the Italian grocery store gave off such a comforting & authentic vibe. It was a genuinely delightful visit!
