Our family of 5 went to Darbar for our 8p reservation on last Sunday. We ordered masala tea, chicken malai kebab, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, malai kofta, garlic naan, & gulab jamun. The food was wonderfully delicious. The lady who waited our table was very friendly & attentive. Coming from NY, we are not easily impressed with Indian food. This small family run restaurant is a gem. Highly recommended!

Le cuisinier-gerant est sorti lui même pour vérifier nos restrictions alimentaires & il nous a proposé des alternatives.
La nourriture était excellente. J'aurais mangé la sauce des crevettes a la cuillère.
Seul mini point, il y avait beaucoup de mouches sur la terrasse. C'est dommage.

Une explosion de saveur dans cette nourriture du Nord de l'Inde. Je connais la nourriture Indienne & celle-ci est la plus savoureuse que j'aie mangé. Atmosphère décontractée & service sympa & sans prétention.
This place ruined all other Indian food for me. It is so unbelievably delicious. Our server was so attentive & was quick to make recommendations as to what we should order & how much. We got the perfect amount of food & everything was so delicious. Not to mention, I have a gluten allergy & they made everything (including the naan) gluten free so I could eat it. I do not have enough wonderful things to say about this place… truly so delicious. We will be back from the US just to eat here!!!
Incredible food, cute & intimate inside. Limited seating but we were always able to find a table.
The chef was kind, at each table chatting, knew everyone & recommended dishes & could be heard saying'I know what I'm going to do for you guys'. We have gone when people are celebrating birthdays & it's a special place because of the staff.
It's a family business & after learning that the owner has another career in addition to running this fantastic place, it's even more special.
Each dish we tried was truly delicious, savory, sweet, perfectly plated & served.

Right from arrival, we were welcomed to our seat & checked in on regularly to order & throughout the meal. The food was delicious & presentation also. We will definitely be back soon!

Made a last minute reservation here for our last night in Montreal & we were incredibly impressed. What a demonstration of hospitality & passion for the food - the staff & head chef's warmth & attentiveness made this meal stand out above every other restaurant we visited. Our meals were flavorful, fresh, & the portions were generous. Truly felt like being welcomed into someone's home for a meal, but the ambiance was romantic & intimate. Highly recommend checking this restaurant out - it has entered the top of my list (& I'm based in NYC)!!
