Visited later afternoon on a Monday, so it wasn't too busy. I sat on the patio, with its cute yellow & white striped umbrellas. All the servers were super friendly. Iced matcha was one of best I had, just the right amount of sweetness. I had the chicken sandwich, which is so giant with its two chicken breasts, but still felt rather light. I feel like this is the type of place to share a few menu items.View more

With the line we had to wait in before getting in, the hype around Dandy made me excited for what was to come. I ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken & accompanied that with a Mimosa. I really enjoyed the Buttermilk Burger, the bun was soft & the chicken was full of juice & flavour, my only gripe was that the bacon that i had as a side was dry & brittle. The Mimosas were pretty good as well. The day I was there the place was very packed but the service was still good, but not great, because we had a bit of a wait time. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about, during my time there, the place felt crowded & small.But this place would be a nice spot to go on a Sunday Morning for brunch.View more

I went for brunch & the brunch menu was simple, but very original, sophisticated & delicious with good portions. There were three of us & I ordered the yummy salad which is fantastic & definitely filling.. my friends' orders included the pancakes & the fried chicken. Wow, both amazing as I got to sample theirs as well. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere is lively ands bustling but we could hear each other talk. It said it would be 20 to 40 estimated price however I found it to be more in the $40-$60 range. Each person if you include drinks & tips. So more steep price than the usual brunch, nevertheless, I highly recommend this place for brunch. It's too bad they don't take reservations because I would go there a lot more. PS, the mimosas & margaritas are wonderful. We didn't have any desserts, but I can tell you looking at it, it looked good.View more

Upon arriving at the restaurant, my companion & I were warmly greeted by the hostess & promptly seated, although we did have to wait about 40 minutes for a table during the busy lunch rush. However, the friendly service & impeccable attention from the waitstaff made up for the wait. We opted for the avocado breakfast toast & the crispy chicken sandwich. While the avocado toast was delicious, served in a deep plate made it difficult to cut the bread comfortably. I'd suggest they serve it on a flat plate for easier enjoyment. As for the crispy chicken sandwich, it was an absolute delight. The chicken was flavorful, & the crust was soft & easy to eat. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, making it a perfect spot for brunch. Overall, despite a minor inconvenience with the avocado toast plate, I would highly recommend this place for a delightful brunch experience.View more

We finally got around to trying @dandy.mtl to see if it lived up to the hype. They don't take reservations but we only waited about 15 minutes at 10:45am, not too bad. We were served extremely quickly & ordered delicious, satisfying, Ricotta Pancakes covered in luscious syrup & the buttermik fried chicken sandwich featuring some of the best crispy, delectable fried chicken we've ever had. We washed this down with a delightful maple latté. We finished & were driving home by 11:30am. We don't eat slow but, while everything was excellent (service included), we did feel the overall atmosphere is fast paced & a little rushed. Personally, the opposite of the feeling we want on a Sunday morning but food-wise, yes, it does live up to the hype.View more

A bit overrated, long lineup out the door & no reservation system. Food & drinks was fair but nothing spectacular. Tried the fried chicken sandwich as that seemed to be one of the most popular dishes, but found it quite dry & unflavoured compared to other places that offers this dish in Toronto.View more

I think I just ate the best fried chicken sandwich of my life here! Tender thigh meat, ubercrunchy batter, sweet-ish slaw underneath, airy brioche bun: perfection!! The blistered fingerling potatoes were also delicious.View more

The Sourdough Bread is really delicious, & the way the avocado was seasoned & salted tasted perfect. Also includes vegetables in the menu, & perfectly balances against the avocado. The Chicken Burger had two big chicken thighs on top of nice soft ciabatta bread. The most delicious chicken burger I ever ate. Also, the milk foam of the Maple Latte was so soft:)View more

It's worth every penny. I promise if you go there to start your day you will have an excellent day. The chicken sandwich with egg was incredibly well seasoned & juicy, & the avocado sourdough toast with egg & tzatziki salad had some incredible flavors that I didn't seem possible for such a seemingly basic dish. Really happy I went here, I would eat here every day if I could.View more

We happened to come across this restaurant while visiting Montreal & were rewarded for it. I had the chicken sandwich & my friend had the ricotta pancakes, both were WONDERFUL! The staff was great & attentive. We took the desserts to go & were again rewarded with goodness…definitely worth it.View more

via LibroFantastic environment & the service was pleasant & quick. The food was excellent. I had the ricotta pancakes & a side order of the best bacon I have ever had! My partner had the buttermilk chicken sandwich that came with homemade potato chips. For better or worse, both plates were empty by the time we were done. A long walk was much needed post brunch! Can't wait to return!

Had the buttermilk chicken sandwich ($22), was good but not exceptional, could've done with a salad on the side or something. The Caesar was delicious, etc. Would maybe go back, but for the price, won't rush.
via LibroWhat a great lunch. I'd spotted Dandy on Instagram & was eager to try it out on a recent visit to Montréal. The food, service, & space did not disappoint! Excellent attention to detail from everyone on the staff (front of house to wait staff). They're quick with a smile & aim to make sure everything is perfect for your meal. The kitchen staff gave a great effort too (soup of the day, home made chips, & the fried chicken sandwich). All were delightful but one thing I'm still thinking about is the labne with the chips! Completely surprised by the complexity of the flavor with added citrus. Well done!
