Damas is a beautiful restaurant, the Syrian decor is very impressive & warm. Our server was very knowledgeable, helpful, polite & attentive; great service. The food is out of this world. Best hummus & baba ghannouj any of us have ever had. We tried most of the cold mezzes & the fried cheese cigares & every one was mind blowing delicious. Every Main Dish (shish taouk, fattet, samke harra) was divine. None of us could chose which dish was the best as they were all beyond perfection in taste, texture, & presentation. Culinary Genius.

Pour payer 30-40$ le plat, il faut que la préparation soit relativement de qualité (saveurs équilibrées).

Entre autres, les plats étaient assez gras & contenaient un peu trop d'huile ou de pate de tomate...

I have been to this restaurant 6 or 7 times in the last couple of years. In & of itself, that should tell you how great this resto is. With all the amazing places to eat in Montreal, i keep going back to Damas, & it never disappoints. If anything, it gets better every time i eat there. Ask the friendly waiters for their suggestions if you can't decide what to have. My Lebanese aunt, who is a great cook, said everything was EXCELLENT. Enjoy!

J'ai fait un investissement qui valait le déplacement, le temps & la facture. Nous y sommes allés un dimanche, plus rilax comme ambiance & c'est ce que nous voulions.

I'm French so sorry if my English is bad. I had wanted to go & visit this restaurent for years & last night, I was very happy to go there. It was such a disapppointment. First of all the waiter was very impatient. If you don't understand the items in the menu (which is normal as they have syrian specialties that you might not know) don't ask too many questions as he is not going to like that ! The food is great, don't misunderstand me. I will not go back to this restaurant. Because of the service & the price.
