Went there for Sunday dinner. The service was excellent, professional, attentive & genuinely warm. Every dish was introduced with clear explanations, which made the whole experience feel thoughtful. Portions were generous. We didn't manage to finish everything, & that was after we forgot to order one more dish we originally planned.

The food was outstanding, rich in flavor, balanced, & simply delicious. A memorable meal overall.

This restaurant is a scam to be honest. We shared a hummus & a plate of grilled meats. The food was good, no problem, but really overpriced (come on $35 for 4 very small cups of hummus as appetizers???). Nothing amazing for a $125 meal… the portions were very small compared to the price we paid. It's just normal Syrian food, in a restaurant trying to be fancy… for the price paid, you better go somewhere else.

Incroyable expérience au restaurant Damas !
C'est tout simplement le meilleur restaurant à Montréal. Nous avons choisi le menu découverte & c'était une véritable explosion de saveurs - il y en avait tellement, & absolument tout était délicieux.

Notre serveur a été exceptionnel : de très bons conseils, des surprises tout au long du repas, & un service impeccable du début à la fin.

Une expérience culinaire mémorable… on revient dans un mois, c'est certain !

You'll read a lot of mixed opinions about this restaurant, but honestly-aside from the price-don't pay attention to the noise. This is a high-end restaurant, & the quality & execution of the food are truly unique. I've tried many Lebanese & Syrian restaurants, & to this day, nothing beats Damas. The food is outstanding; it's one of the best restaurants in Montreal. The fact that reservations are so hard to get isn't hype-people genuinely love the food here.

If you're wondering what to wear, opt for something nice & elegant. I've been there on Mondays & even then you'll see corporate guests in suits & ties.

For first-timers, I highly recommend the tasting menu. You get a little bit of everything, & it's very filling. I've tried almost the entire menu, & honestly, every single dish is excellent.

Street parking is available, but there's no valet.

I recently dined at Damas Restaurant, & it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Although it is on the expensive side, it's absolutely worth it. The quality of the food was exceptional-every dish was rich in flavor & beautifully presented. The drinks were just as impressive, crafted with great care.
The service was excellent as well; our waiter was attentive, friendly, & made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. Overall, Damas delivers a top-tier dining experience, & I highly recommend it for anyone looking for outstanding food & service.

Our table was late. We were a large group so we had to take the tasting menu . We were not even shown menu we couldn't order a few things à la carte. The tasting menu is okay , it missed the dips. I recall it being more generous & flavourful in my previous visits .

I first tried Damas during COVID & ordered almost all the appetizers - they were absolutely fabulous! That's really what they do best.

Later, I went back to dine in & ordered a steak, but it was way overcooked, & I didn't enjoy the meal as much. The restaurant itself is nice, but I find it quite overpriced for what it offers - mostly rice, potatoes, & meat.

Overall, the appetizers are excellent, but the rest of the menu feels a bit average for the price. I'd still give it another try, maybe for different dishes, but it's not as impressive as it used to be.

beautiful syrian restaurant with excellent service! we took the omnivore & pescatarian tasting menu. it was very filling & delicious but nothing extraordinary from the flavors (maybe to someone who is not at all familiar to this palette tho!). a lot of the dishes were lacking salt & one was heavily oversalted. i would recommend this restaurant but not necessarily the tasting menu. my favorite drink was the aleppo sour & my favorite dish - very simple but delicious - the fattouch salad. thank you for the fun birthday experience!

J'ai choisi d'y célébrer mon anniversaire en octobre dernier, avec mes amis & mes proches. Nous étions 16 personnes sur une belle longue table au fond du restaurant (presque comme une salle privée). Nous avons expérimenté la formule brunch de groupe & c'était tout simplement exquis! Les plats à partager étaient copieux & succulents, sans parler de l'excellent service personnalisé obtenu! Merci à toute l'équipe qui a fait de mon anniversaire un moment inoubliable (& merci aussi pour vous avoir occupé de la coupe de mon énorme gâteau). 😀 Je recommande à 100%!

One of my favorite restaurants in the world & a place I come to Montreal for. The service is impeccable - warm & attentive but not fussy. The kitchen is open to being flexible to dietary restrictions even with the tasting menu. & the food is consistently some of the best I've had anywhere. Everything is innovative & delicious. I never review restaurants & had to sing their praises. Always a 10/10.

Excellent food, but average at best atmosphere
& the decor is simple, busy & casual. The Location is Within the poor edge of Outremont, & the parking is very difficult
You come here just for the good food, not for the ambiance
this is not a luxurious elegant restaurant.
