We had the tasting menu, it was good, mediocre at most l, some items stood out more than others. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH 400 for 2. Just not worth it, will most likely not come back.
This is definitely one of the best restaurants I've been to in Montreal. The service, atmosphere, setting & the FOOD are just PERFECT. The portions are pretty generous so maybe consider sharing especially if you want to have starters & leave room for dessert. My highlight was the baklava stuffed with pistachio ice cream! MUST TRY!
We had the standard tasting menu. The best imo are the seafood dishes -seabass & fish cake. They had nice texture & good natural flavors. If I had to go back, I would solely order the seafood. The rest of the menu, while loaded with variety, wasn't very memorable. For example, the yogurt marinated chicken lacked punch & the lamb, while good, can be found at tons of restaurants. I also don't find the sauces complement the main elements. That being said, it was still fun to try out the sheer variety of quality offerings. I just won't be considering the tasting menu ever again.
Very heavy fine dining & expensive. However, this place has the best food. My expectations climb up with price & this place charges a price & actually deliver on it. Many fine dining restaurants fail to meet expectations as they just cant match their prices but try to hard with atmosphere. This place however does both properly. Took my girlfriend here on an anniversary & would say for sure that this place is up there to the best restaurants. Very expensive tho.
belle expérience, je recommande ce resto tout est parfait, on ne dépêche pas de vous servir pour vous mettre dehors dès que vous avez pris votre dernière bouchée de dessert

Un service qui va au delà de nos attente, ma fois une serveuse qui donne tout ce quel peut même à distance. Que dire d'une personne aussi incroyable que Karel . Merci pour cette soirée incroyable qui me donne envie de revenir à chaques jours! Shout out au barman Élliot qui m'as fait les meilleurs drinks & à Yannick pour son beau sourire & ses conseille vin & menu grandement apprécié . Sans gêne je peux dire que c'est assurément une des meilleur tables à Montréal.👌🏻
Super place, évidemment l'indice du prix est important à prendre en note. Ceci dit, l'endroit est super. Les plats sont beaux & excellents!! Cartes des vins est grande & prête à répondre au plus exigeant!! Le services était super aussi!! Parfait pour célébrer des moments spéciaux!!
Damas is a nice high end Syrian restaurant with friendly staff & delicious food. The presentation is very nice & the portions quite generous. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening with my wife, however it is on the more expensive side. I would say the price is my only complaint otherwise I highly recommend eating at Damas for some delicious Syrian cuisine.

Delicious food with larger portions then most high end restaurants. The meat platter is a good selection of things. Drinks are delicious. Quince sorbet texture was a bit weird. But the pistachio ice cream & everything else was excellent. Highly recommend the vine leaves & lamb. They were also nice enough to modify menu items to be gluten friendly when possible.
Récemment, notre équipe de Déménagement Crown a eu le plaisir de découvrir le Restaurant Damas, un joyau culinaire situé au coeur chic & gastronomique d'Outremont, sur l'avenue Van Horne à Montréal. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis dans un microcosme confortablement unique, baigné de couleurs chaleureuses, de velours, de bois sculpté & de lumières multicolores. Le serveur était absolument charmant, alliant professionnalisme & une touche personnelle qui a rendu notre soirée encore plus spéciale. Quant à la cuisine, elle était tout simplement extraordinaire. Chaque plat servait de fenêtre sur un monde de saveurs exotiques & délicieuses, rendant l'expérience culinaire inoubliable. Nous remercions vivement toute l'équipe du Restaurant Damas pour cette soirée enchantée & nous recommandons à tous ceux qui cherchent une expérience culinaire exceptionnelle à Montréal de visiter ce lieu magique.
Could not recommend this restaurant more. My husband & I have never had Syrian food before but decided to try Dana's while we were in Montreal on vacation & it was both of our favorite restaurant we visited while we were there. We did the tasting menu & my husband did the wine pairing with his meal. The waitress was really knowledgeable about the menu & recommended substitutions where necessary for me since I am pregnant. It was excellent service, all the food we had was amazing (we left very full) & the sommelier was very friendly & professional. I definitely recommend anyone give this place a try, it was incredible!
