& the decor is simple, busy & casual. The Location is Within the poor edge of Outremont, & the parking is very difficult
You come here just for the good food, not for the ambiance

Je ne sais pas par où commencer tellement j'ai de bonnes choses à dire! Premièrement WOW! J'ai eu le privilège d'être présente au BRUNCH aujourd'hui pour l'anniversaire d'une grande amie à moi. J'ai été charmé par l'endroit avec une décoration sublime, une ambiance intime pour l'occasion mais surtout un service IMPECCABLE, le serveur était professionnel, il nous a fait d'excellentes recommandations! Je peux dire que nous avons été servis avec excellence. La nourriture? WOW WOW WOW! C'était d'une fraîcheur inouïe. Une belle découverte de saveurs & des présentations alléchante. J'ai adoré mon expérience & je recommande vivement ce restaurant. Réserve tôt pour des grand groupe ;-)

This is my favourite restaurant in Montreal. Whether it's for casual dinners or business meetings, I'm always able to impress my guest with their delicious food & great ambiance! The meat platter is always my go-to!
Visited Damas with high expectations, but left disappointed. Cold mezzas were decent, meat platter lacked flavor. Overpriced for the quality. Service was pleasant, & ambiance nice, but overall didn't live up to the hype
What an absolute gem of a place. We sat in the terrasse next to the heater. We had the makdous fattah (with lamb meat), appetizer mezza platter, shish taouk. Everything was on point & tasted freshly & authentic. The portions were generous. Service was great. It is the best kind of'fine dining' I would have hoped for. Beautiful.
I've had this restaurant on my radar for quite some time, so I came in with high expectations. While the overall experience was pleasant, the food itself fell a little short. The atmosphere is beautiful. Service was equally impressive. As for the food, we tried the salad, hummus shawarma, cheese kunafa, lamb kebab, & a cocktail. The lamb was the biggest disappointment-it came across as meat in an overly dominant tomato sauce, with little depth or seasoning. The meat itself was tender, but the dish was just lacking!! After the first bite, you could tell I was disappointed. Everything else we ordered was good. The flavors were there but nothing stood out for me. We paid about 250$ - At that price point, the food wasn't distinct enough to set this restaurant apart from more affordable options...

Tout était impeccable, je n'ai rien à dire à propos du service, de l'ambiance ou de la nourriture par contre j'ai trouvé que c'était excessivement cher pour ce qui nous est servi. Je recommande quand même de l'essayer une fois ça reste une très bonne adresse!
We went to Damas to celebrate our anniversary & it was such a wonderful experience. We chose the tasting menu, & I really appreciated how the staff explained each dish as it was served - it made the evening feel even more special.
The food was incredible. My absolute favorites were the lamb & the Crevettes Kunafa - both were packed with flavor & perfectly prepared.
The atmosphere is warm yet elegant, & the service was attentive without being overwhelming. Honestly, it was the perfect place for our celebration, & I'd go back without hesitation.
Wow everything was delicious here! The hummus shawarma dish was out of this world, & the lamb rack was so juicy. Also recommend the octopus & the fattoush salad. Vraiment excellent !
Everything was incredibly delicious! We chose the tasting menu. The items I preferred were : Kibbeh Nayeh (lamb tartare), Kunafah shrimp & lamb chops. The restaurant is beautiful & the staff, professional.

From the moment we walked into Damas, we knew we were about to embark on something special-but nothing could have prepared us for just how exceptional the experience would be. We have tried the tasting menu & it was absolutely the perfect choice!
The ambiance is warm & enchanting, beautifully combining elegance with the rich cultural essence of Syria. The soft lighting, the detailed décor, & the welcoming atmosphere set the perfect stage for an evening to remember.
But let's talk about the food-because this is where Damas truly shines. Every single dish was a masterpiece, crafted with such depth, authenticity, & care that we felt transported to the heart of Damascus. From the tender, aromatic lamb dishes to the vibrant & perfectly balanced mezze, every bite told a story. The flavors were bold yet refined, traditional yet elevated, & undeniably delicious. You could taste the passion & heritage in every element of the meal.
Special thanks to Alexander who guided us through the menu & made us feel at home throughout the evening. His hospitality added a personal touch that elevated the experience from amazing to unforgettable.

Une expérience mémorable chez Damas ! La cuisine est divine, pleine de saveurs & parfaitement maîtrisée. Le service est à la hauteur des plus grandes tables, mais c'est surtout au bar que la magie a opéré : le barman qui préparait les cocktails a été adorable, attentionné jusqu'au moindre détail, au point de contourner son comptoir pour venir lui-même placer notre bouteille de vin blanc dans un sceau rempli de glace - un geste rare qui en dit long sur son professionnalisme & son sens de l'hospitalité. Les cocktails étaient créatifs, équilibrés & généreux, servis dans une ambiance chaleureuse & feutrée. Une soirée parfaite, merci à toute l'équipe !
J'ai passé une excellente soirée dans ce restaurant, en grande partie grâce à Keira, notre serveuse, qui a été d'une gentillesse & d'un professionnalisme remarquables. Elle nous a accueillis avec un grand sourire, toujours attentive & soucieuse de notre confort tout au long du repas.
Ce qui m'a particulièrement marqué, c'est sa patience & sa réactivité : elle n'a pas hésité à faire changer à deux reprises un morceau de viande qui n'était pas à la cuisson demandée, sans jamais faire sentir que cela posait problème. Un service client exemplaire !
Les autres membres de l'équipe étaient également très attentionnés & présents sans être envahissants, ce qui a grandement contribué à l'ambiance détendue & agréable du repas.
Bref, un service impeccable, une équipe aux petits soins, & une Keira qui mérite amplement d'être reconnue pour son professionnalisme. Merci encore pour ce beau moment !
Damas is an outstanding restaurant offering a refined & flavorful Syrian culinary experience. Every dish is beautifully presented & full of rich, authentic taste. The ambiance is elegant & inviting, & the service is excellent. A must-visit in Montreal for anyone who loves Middle Eastern cuisine!
Insanely expensive for what it is. Don't get the'tasting menu' it's a scam. It's just a prix fixe family style menu & wildly overpriced.

Salad, 2 dips, 2 cheese apps, 6 pieces of grilled chicken (nuggets) 3 pieces rack of lamb, ice cream dessert. Insane price for what it is.
Too many servers attending your table is annoying not nice. Go to Le Violon for a
beautiful meal & much less money.
Very impressed with our experience. Service was friendly & felt genuine & effortless. Really good. Drinks & food were memorable. Space was beautiful. Would highly recommend.
Got the fattoush salad (good but not iconic like they would imply) , lamb kibbeh (loved this), lamb rack & chicken kebab both very good flavor. Excellent accompaniments. Great pitas.
