Review Summary

Dalmata Gelateria is praised for creative, flavorful ice creams and an artisanal quality that shines through in not overly sweet, well balanced flavors. Flavors like apricot, Fior di latte, raspberry chocolate and a brioche with chocolate ice cream and pistachio swirl are repeatedly highlighted as standout twists. Staff are described as cordial and the decor charming, lending a friendly neighborhood vibe and, at times, a lively line. While many consider the quality worth the price, some reviewers feel portions are small and prices high for the value. The menu is described as curated and changes often, with seasonal twists that keep the experience fresh. Some notes mention that flavors can be intense but not overly sweet and that fruit notes feel natural rather than artificial. Overall the place is seen as a standout local gem with a stylish setting and a tendency to draw crowds, though not everyone ranks it as the absolute best in town. A few critiques include service slips and occasional portions not meeting expectations.

had very high expectations, given all the hype this place has had since the start of the summer. We tried a Fior di Latte twist, expecting something more refined.

Price was fair, the place is beautiful, the staff was super nice & smiling... bonus it's always fun to hang out in this neighbourhood. But honestly, I've had better ice cream. Don't get me wrong, it's very, very good. Still, my experiences at le Virevent or Iconoglaces were easily twice as memorable.

In short, this place feels like a bit of a social media hype machine. Great ice cream, sure, but not the best in the city.

Unfortunately disappointed. Ok ice cream at a much higher price point (very small portions). Tried the peach / corn cereal milk twist which lacked richness & flavour.

Visited Dalmata to try this new local gem! It is owned by the same team from Le Violon. I tried the 2 twist combinations as well as the sundae (yes, I went with an appetite). The twist combos were tastefully put together for the summer season. If I had to pick, the strawberry chocolate is my new go-to flavour! I enjoyed them in a cup & it was perfect. The sundae had vanilla ice cream with a hint of mint infused in it. The chocolate sauce & strawberry pieces made the piece come alive. As someone who dislikes strawberries, I cannot imagine the sundae without it because of their texture & added sweetness. It just goes to show that every detail & flavour is considered at Dalmata. The price matches the high quality food & service, in my opinion. 5/5 recommend!
