beef(18) chinese(18) dishes(17) général tao(14) noodle(14) soup(12) fried(11) sauce(11) tasty(10)General Tao was good (not the best I have had but still quite good). The cumin beef was ok, but I wasn't blow away with a taste nor with their sour soup. The place was almost empty on Friday 8pm, which was a bit strange & didn't create a great vibe exactly.Voir plus
This is a great find. Had Hot & Sour soup & Pad Thai, both were excellent. Staff & Chef were awesome & kind. Definitely returning here for lunches. Very reasonable also.Voir plus
I don't know why this gets raves. It was barely passable. Hot & Sour soup had so much corn starch it was chewy & gooey. Ribs were tasteless as was the General Tsao. Maybe we are spoiled by Toronto Chinese food. Staff was great, however.Voir plus
I've eaten at Aunt Dai at least 25 times in the past 6 years or so. There are dishes I keep coming back to, like the excellent cumin beef, the spicy shrimps, the kung pao chicken & mapo tofu. In the past, everything was consistently delicious. But in the past two years or so, it has changed a bit. The grilled calamari, which used to be one of their best dishes, is now a total disappointment & has nothing to do with what it used to be. The last time we went, the mapo tofu was bland & uninteresting, while it was exceptional the time before that. My son chose the Singapour noodles, because he's used to eating them at home & he likes to eat what he knows. Frankly, they were barely edible; they were oversalted & bland & the noodles were way overcooked. We know that it's not an authentic Chinese dish & a little more on the bland side, but there still is the possibility to cook a nice version of it. So all in all, I used to be very confident in the dishes I ordered at Aunt Dai, but now, when I go, I'm always a bit worried that the dishes I order won't be as good as usual. Some effort should be put in making sure the different cooks deliver the same flavors.Voir plus

This is a really authentic Chinese restaurantVoir plus
Tasty Chinese dishes, nice staff, fast service, & very reasonable prices. We usually take a main dish, with a bowl of steamed rice, & then share a plate of sauté vegetable to share. & a bottle of saki to share. I recommend 2 side dishes toi absolutely try with your meal: dry-fried green beans, & eggplant dish.Voir plus
Just do yourself a favour & literally order everything lol Cumin beef OMG General tao WOW The eggplant is great We were a big group & the service was amazing & all the food was perfectly timed, good job to everyone & see you again for sure!Voir plus
Delicious food & great honest reviews on the website from the owner. They're hilarious!Voir plus
I eat at Aunt Dai several times a year. The food & the service is top notch; I recommend going to eat at the restaurant in person, since they offer more dishes in house. The pricing & portions are reasonable, which is why I find myself coming back to this place repeatedly. My favourite dish is the fried fish in tomato sauce. It's always super light & crispy, & the sauce is a perfect mixture of sweet & savoury. If you like General Tao (which is also excellent at Aunt Dai), you'll love the fish with tomato sauce. A special shoutout to the owner & the team. They operate with a high degree of integrity & transparency; not only is this refreshing to see but is exemplified in the quality of their food. Hats off to Aunt Dai!Voir plus
Great food, good prices & friendly service.Voir plus
Really disappointed after reading such stellar reviews. Won ton soup was mid, weird taste I couldn't put my finger on, rolls were tiny, fried rice was bland, Singapour noodles were ok, not very curryish, & ginger beef was also bland. Overall, for a 95$ tab, nothing really stood out & would not eat again.Voir plus
A cozy place with delicious food & a friendly waiter. The hot & sour soup was lacking a bit of the tangy/sour element but the cumin beef & eggplant with potato were amazing. I can't wait to go back & plan to try the mapo tofu.Voir plus
Beautiful little hole in the wall with all the yummy greasy food. The sweet & spicy pork strips were amazing. The flavor was perfect & I loved the texture of the bamboo shoots & other vegetables. I also ordered the sweet & spicy eggplant, which arrived disappointingly, swimming in a pool of flavorless oil. Still, though, I'll be back!Voir plus
