My favourite boulangerie in Montreal! The baked goods remind me of Paris, they use quality ingredients & everything is made with care. Order early because by end of day they have fewer options. I've been ordering from them for 6 years & haven't found another bakery in the city that compares.

To be honest, I feel the ratings might be a bit generous compared to the service & overall quality. This seems like a long-standing neighborhood bakery that many locals are attached to, which I can appreciate. However, with so many excellent bakeries around now, I felt this one didn't quite measure up. Even the coffee was underwhelming. I don't usually like to leave negative reviews, but I left feeling genuinely disappointed given my expectations.

The best French bakery-pastry place in North America, maybe even the best I have been in the world. Never left so so so so so satisfied from any other French style bakery. Love it! Must try!
I highly recommend Croissant Monkland. Their croissants (by far the best ones in NDG), pastries, pies, cakes... are just'super delicious'! & try also their divine'crème brûlée'!!! Staff is great & you will not find better prices for this quality in the entire hood. Long live Croissant Monkland, the best bakery in NDG!
Their croissants are indeed really good. Buttery, big, flaky, & fresh! I also got a cinnamon roll here which was also so so good! Literally when you walk to the door you can smell the bakery. The location itself is simple, but the pastries are amazing. Highly highly recommend as they are up there with the best croissants in all of Montréal from Boulangerie de Froment & de Sève bakery.

Love this place! Found it through a Google search when looking for the best croissants in NDG, & decided to try it out. We were not disappointed: got the nutella croissant, raspberry croissant, chocolatine, ham croissant, & two lattes, & all of it was so damned good! This is the sort of bakery/cafe that is the best of what Montreal's food scene has to offer, friendly staff who served me in both languages, a pleasant & comfortable space to sit & eat, & wonderful food.
