Donuts are consistently described as fresh, large, soft and flavorful, with a wide range of flavors from classic glazed to inventive options like creme brulee and pistachio; the texture is light and not overly greasy, and many say the sweetness level is well balanced, though a few note some flavors can be very sweet. Prices are generally seen as fair for the size and quality, with some mentions of higher price for premium flavors. Service is repeatedly described as friendly and helpful, and the shop ambiance is welcoming and playful, often highlighted by retro arcade games that add nostalgic charm. Overall, Homers is portrayed as a standout donut destination in Montreal, a must try for donut lovers, with many reviewers planning to return and praise the packaging and on site experience, while a small number point to room for improvement in consistency or cleanliness.
A visit to Homer's Donuts (Homer's Boîte à Beignes) in Montreal is more than just a stop for sweets-it's a fun, upbeat experience that combines great-tasting donuts with a playful atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, the colorful presentation & creative designs immediately stand out, making it clear this isn't your average donut shop.
The donuts themselves taste just as good as they look. Each one is fresh, soft, & full of flavor, with a variety of toppings & styles that make choosing just one a challenge. Whether you prefer something classic or more over-the-top, there's a good balance of options to satisfy different tastes. The attention to detail in both appearance & flavor really shows, & it adds to the overall enjoyment.
One of the highlights of the visit was the staff. They were friendly, helpful, & patient while we decided what to order. Their positive attitude made the experience even better, especially in a place that can get busy. It's always a plus when the service matches the quality of the food.
What really makes Homer's Donuts stand out, though, is the added element of fun inside the shop. There are free arcade games available, which give the space a relaxed, almost nostalgic vibe. It turns a quick stop for donuts into something more interactive, whether you're visiting with friends, family, or just looking to enjoy a few extra minutes of entertainment. It's a small touch, but it makes a big difference in creating a memorable experience.
The atmosphere overall is lively & welcoming, with bright colors & a casual setup that encourages you to stay a bit longer. It feels like a place designed not just for grabbing food, but for enjoying yourself while you're there.
Overall, Homer's Donuts (Homer's Boîte à Beignes) delivers on both taste & experience. With delicious, visually appealing donuts, helpful staff, & the bonus of free arcade games, it's a spot that offers something a little different. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Montreal & looking for a fun & satisfying treat.
'Mmmm, Donut..'
We were on the bus & my son seen the donut shop & he said we had to go to Homer's donut 🍩
We had the best donuts of our life!! he was really excited about the free arcade as well! 1000000000/10 🤤 🍩
I ordered an assorted dozen from Uber eats. Downside is my teenager daughter's had to take pictures before we could eat anything. Upside they now believe in magic & unicorns again. The presentation was a 10/10 . Most importantly the taste 10/10. They are 100% the best donuts I've ever tasted.

Hussein accommodated a last minute request promptly when another donut shop could not deliver on a special order. I highly recommend this Homers. Thanks Hussein.
