Crêperie du Marché is described as offering delicious, thin buckwheat crepes with a wide range of savory and sweet fillings, with reviewers praising fresh ingredients and a Breton influence. The lively market setting provides a vibrant backdrop, and the staff are friendly and efficient, delivering quick service even when crowds are high. Gluten free and vegan options are highlighted, making it a reliable choice for celiac diners or those avoiding gluten, and portions are noted as generous with good value, though a few comments mention prices can feel a bit high. Overall, reviews suggest Crêperie du Marché is a standout spot in the city for crepes, known for consistency, quality, and a welcoming atmosphere.
I've tried a lot of crêpes, even in France, where I stayed with a French family & learned how to make them from scratch. I honestly thought those would always be the best, until I came here.
The buckwheat crêpes (I had the vegan option) were incredible. As someone who prioritizes a healthy lifestyle, it's rare to find something that feels both nourishing & indulgent, but these absolutely delivered. They were rich, satisfying, & full of flavour without tasting'healthy' in that bland way.
What really makes this place special is the people. Jérôme is so passionate, & Richard did an amazing job making the crêpe. You can tell they're true crêpe experts who bring so much joy & care into what they do.
I'm actually so sad to be leaving Montreal because we don't have anything like this back in Toronto. Nothing that balances quality, taste, & wholesome ingredients this well. I genuinely wish I had come here every single day of my trip.
If you're in Montreal, this place is a must. & please open in Toronto soon. We need you!!

Lots of buckwheat crepe options, a little pricey but still a fun option for food at the marché.
Gets pretty busy on the weekends & has limited seating.
Open year round as it's part of the indoor pavilion of the market!
Passed by many times visiting the JT market but finally stopped to try the crepes with some family visiting from out of town & I must say that I am happy to have finally tried it! All 3 of the buckwheat crepes that we ordered were delicious & freshly made to order. The menu midi is also a better bang for your buck (including soup or salad, crepe & a drink). The staff were also very nice & helpful.
This place makes slightly leaner crepes, opting for the buckwheat which I'm a fan of. I enjoy the texture of these crepes. The food is great & the price is fair enough. However the seating is very close together. When it gets busy you have people on either side of you within inches of your elbows, not the msot comfortable eating experience. But to be fair it is in a market setting. Service was fantastic.

We came here as a stop for lunch during a trip back from Tremblant as one of the members of our party has a gluten sensitivity. The people running the stand were incredibly accommodating & assuring of our allergies & sensitivities. The buckwheat crepes were fantastic. They are not like normal crepes & have a fantastic crunch & texture on the edges. I personally had the Oessant & it was fantastic. The market here also has a lot to offer to a great place to stop.
Excellent selection of delicious crepes. All crepes are buckwheat & so gluten free. They also have vegan options. Will definitely be back to try their dessert crepes.
Go for: deceptively large buckwheat crepes filled with combinations of breakfast foods you didn't know you needed in your life, but you do. Avoid if: You have a hard time with crowds, noise, & plates of crepes & coffees being carried to tables around you at a high rate of speed. Something surprising: Despite having a long line & orders flying out of the kitchen, multiple staff members stopped by each table throughout the meal to have a short conversation & ensure everyone was enjoying the food. Reservation needed? No, counter service only Overall Experience: 4/5. An actual farm-to-table breakfast experience in one of the best public markets in the world. Value for Price: 5 Sanitation: 5 Food Quality: 4 Menu Precision: 4 Service Quality: 5 Timing: 3 Decor: 3 Access: 4 - 5 among the best 4 strong 3 not too bad 2 mediocre 1 never again
What a great discovery; especially if you are someone like me who must eat strictly gluten free. Gaëlle, a friendly, kind & very informative server explained every fully. I enjoyed the “Ouessant” “ Smoked Salmon, Spinach, Fresh Goat Cheese & Lemon
The most festive organic gluten-free buckwheat pancake... fresh goat's cheese cream & sheep's milk yogurt spread, smoked salmon from our Gaspé artisan... incredible!”. The description is pefect! Fresh & so delicious! Gaëlle, you’re the best!
