Review Summary

Across the reviews, Columbus Café & Co is described as a lively, welcoming spot with friendly staff and a calm, productive vibe, where drinks like espresso, lattes and matcha, along with desserts such as cheesecake, are praised, though some readers find certain beverages too sweet and note occasional inconsistency; cleanliness is a mixed bag, with remarks about dirty tables and bathrooms and seats that could be more comfortable, and a few experiences feel less welcoming due to language barriers or service at the counter; the cafe is frequently seen as a good place to study or work thanks to ample seating and a relaxed atmosphere, while others emphasize that the ambiance can be cold or lacking music, depending on the visit; overall, it comes across as a strong go-to option in the area for quality coffee and desserts and a friendly service vibe, with caveats about upkeep and consistency.

The barista with the big biceps is hot. He should be shirtless.

Do you remember the first time you rode a bike? Or what about the first time you received a passport? Life experiences such as these exceed our understanding of normalcy because they intrinsically remind us of our humanity & dignity. Likewise, I can say I remember my first time visiting Columbus Café & Co Crescent on 1370 Saint-Catherine St. W. - It was a cold February morning & at an ontological level I was curious to taste their mocha & chocolate hazelnut muffin. I was pleased with the order & service experience. Neither the Barista nor I brought up any controversial topics & we exchanged the warmest of superficial pleasantries. (The irregularities in cadence were undeniable) Needless to say. I went on to grab a seat & was eager to enjoy the environment let alone the warm beverage & delectable. I sat down at nearby table & sitting on the table was a sign. It wrote the following that Laptops were forbidden on the table. In smaller writing it wrote "Teleworkers, we love you but for parity, we're keeping some tables available for others. Thanks for your understanding." Being the teleworker that I am, it would be a bit of understatement to say my world was changed from those three little words "we love you". To know that as teleworker I'm loved by Columbus Café & Co... My heart was fluttered with emotions as I truly felt like I hit truly hit the psychological jackpot because I could now relinquish my feelings to this Café. I could receive the stability & emotional certainty I've been deeply craving. I could now truly believe that no matter what I do, how I act, what I say, I'm loved by this café. Folks.. to be honest.. I found the mocha pretty good, & the muffin a touch underwhelming. But when you're loved... When a café provides such fealty & steadfastness... Well.. You really can't put a price tag on this type of commitment.

This place has a pretty good vibe, efficient service, & friendly staff. It's got a fun atmosphere, partly thanks to their quirky bear-themed marketing, which is a nice touch. The location's great too, with plenty of seating available. The food is alright, & they were giving out free cookies that initially drew me in. Just a heads-up for the coffee lovers out there, though - the coffee might not be up to everyone's standards. the milk was very burnt, & the coffee somewhat bland. However, when I pointed this out, the barista was really understanding & made me another one without any hassle, which was much appreciated. Despite the coffee hiccup, the place is worth a visit for the overall experience & the top-notch service.
