The atmosphere is frequently described as cozy, romantic, and upscale, making it a popular destination for date nights and special occasions.

i have been to coba before, many times, . their food was great...has gone down a bit now but still good.
unfortunately, if you are thinking of going out & enjoying yourself during xmas, a birthday party or other celebration with your girlfriends, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! we were 5 women, who have all been to this restaurant on other occasions all together, who went to celebrate a friend's birthday/xmas last wednesday, december 15th.
as always, we had our bottles of prosecco & wine to compliment the evening at a restaurant we have always enjoyed returning to. was not to be the same experience on this fateful evening. the evening went along nicely as usual, laughing it up as a group of friends would, but as the evening was winding down, we were asked to pay our bills. still enjoying our evening, eating our fried bananas without coffee or tea, for we were not asked by our waitress.....we all graciously pulled out our credit cards to honour our respective bills. we paid, the waitress smiled, turned around & went back to her other duties/customers. moments later, to my complete & utter disgust, she came back to us & asked us to keep it down as other patrons had complained.
other patrons complained...wouldn't you as a restaurant owner want to have jovial customers in your restaurant so if by chance there are new clients trying out the resto for the first time, will be very happy to be in a place of gaiety & good food.
not the case. it's not like we were dancing half naked on the tables, swearing at the top of our lungs, acting like drunken idiots...not the case by far. we are ladies in our 40's & 50's with class & grace enjoying ourselves in a restaurant - not a church. if the other people wanted a quiet place to eat, they should have stayed home or gone to the church across the street...or just order in & not ruin the evening of other paying customers.
what bothered us most was that the owner just nodded his head when we told him how insulted & disgusted we were at his non-chalance.
anyways, needless to say, we will not be returning & neither should you if you are out for a fun night with whomever....
Dear customer, The philosophy of Coba restaurant is to ensure that all of our customers have a positive experience at our place. Every week, we received several groups and in NO CASE do we ask any customer to leave our place. Please note that when the waitress spoke to you regarding the NOISE LEVEL, we had already received several complaints from 3 differents tables. We have to RESPECT other tables. It was not the waitress wish to make you or any other person at your table uncomfortable. We apologize that your experience at Coba was not at your expectations, please do not let this incident prevent you from coming back and seeing what we do best at Coba customer satisfaction !
Hi StewKattso, We received a high volume "No Shows " for group more than 10. Now we request a deposit $10/pers for a group more than 10 pers. on Friday and Sat. Thanks Coba Team
