Habituellement, nous venons souvent manger chez Chomchom & c'est toujours très bon. Cependant, l'expérience de ce soir a été très décevante.
Au moment de commander notre banh mi, nous avons vu la serveuse préparer le pain directement sur le comptoir. Le pain a touché un chiffon de nettoyage posé sur le comptoir - un chiffon qui était visiblement très sale, noir & rempli de résidus de nourriture.
Ensuite, nous avons aussi remarqué qu'une bouteille bleue de produit chimique nettoyant était collée directement à côté de notre sandwich pendant la préparation. Honnêtement, l'hygiène nous a vraiment dégoûtés.
Lorsque nous l'avons signalé à la serveuse, elle ne s'est pas excusée. Elle a simplement proposé de refaire un sandwich, ce que nous avons accepté au départ. Mais nous l'avons ensuite vue reprendre le même chiffon sale pour essuyer le comptoir, puis, sans changer de gants, prendre un nouveau pain pour recommencer le sandwich.
À ce moment-là, nous avons demandé un remboursement, car la situation était vraiment inacceptable.
Le pire, c'est que sa collègue - qui semblait être la manager - lui a demandé ce qui se passait. Après que la serveuse lui ait expliqué la situation, elle a simplement secoué la tête comme si nous étions en tort.
C'est vraiment dommage, car nous aimions cet endroit. Mais après cette expérience, nous sommes sérieusement déçus par le manque d'hygiène & de professionnalisme.

Usually we come eat at Chomchom quite often & the food is always very good. However, tonight's experience was very disappointing.
When we ordered our banh mi, we saw the server preparing the bread directly on the counter. The bread touched a cleaning cloth that was sitting on the counter - a cloth that was visibly very dirty, black & full of food residue.
We also noticed that a blue bottle of chemical cleaning product was placed right next to our sandwich while it was being prepared. Honestly, the hygiene was really disgusting.
When we pointed it out to the server, she did not apologize. She simply offered to make another sandwich, which we initially agreed to. However, we then saw her grab the same dirty cloth from the counter to wipe the surface &, without changing her gloves, she picked up another piece of bread to start making the new sandwich.
At that point, we asked for a refund because the situation was simply unacceptable.
The worst part is that her colleague - who seemed to be the manager - asked what was going on. After the server explained the situation, she just shook her head as if we were the ones in the wrong.
It's really unfortunate because we used to like this place, but after this experience we are seriously disappointed by the lack of hygiene & professionalism.
Des banh mi excellents, vraiment réussis. Les bols sont en revanche assez moyens & le service reste perfectible. Je recommande surtout pour les banh mi.
Came in for a quick bite & stayed for the taste! Bánh mì is top-notch & the shrimp satay is a must. Shoutout to Chef John de jesus! for making it all so tasty😋
La nourriture était plutôt bonne, ma note se base beaucoup sur l'accueil au comptoir.
Pas de bonjour, merci, sourire, un minimum lorsqu'on travaille face au client.
Lorsque mes nouilles étaient prêtes j'ai du demander au comptoir si c'était bien pour moi car personne ne m'a fait signe ou fait savoir que je pouvais me servir.
Ça casse beaucoup l'expérience client de cette place ou l'espace est partagé entre différents restaurants.
Néanmoins la nourriture était fraîche, de qualité & j'ai vraiment apprécié mes vermicelles aux crevettes.

Porc Bol De Vermicelles was super delicious as was my partners Chicken version. Really lovely staff , tasty food & great service. Moistened with large glasses of wine from Heirloom next door.
Super service, super plat, abordable, dans un lieu très bien dans le centre de Montréal qui regroupe plusieurs stands de restauration avec des tables partagées. Le sandwich était très bon & assez fourni, notamment en crudités, mais également une bonne marinade pour le poulet. Très bon lieu pour manger !
I think this is the 30th bahn mi shop I've been to so I would say I'm pretty well versed in sandwiches at this point!
This was a very solid sandwich. The bread was perfection - crispy, light, airy, with just the right amount of crunch & chew so that it wasn't breaking into a million pieces onto my clothes but wasn't overly gummy.
We got the barbecue pork. The pork pieces were tender & had a great flavor. The vegetables tasted nice & fresh.
If I were to only have one critique I wish it would have Mayo - or if it did have mail I wish it would have more Mayo. But that's a personal preference of mine.
Solid sandwich, perfect for a late night snack, service was pretty fast & let central is such a vibe!
Nourriture fraîche & bonne a souhait. Bonne quantité. Juste dommage que ce n'était pas inscrit en nulle part ni sur le site internet que l'argent comptant est refusée. Heureusement que j'avais une carte sur moi pour cette 1ere fois. Accueil très courtois & très sympathique.
