This is not exactly an authentic Banh Mi, but nor do I care. It's like 75% Banh Mi, 25% North American sub. The result is fantastic as the sandwich is much wider than most Banh Mi, packed with crisp veggies & a decent layer of flavourful meat. It's a truly filling Banh Mi that mostly justifies the price. I love eating at Le Central, I enjoy the casual seating options & just how quickly you can stop by for a quality meal.

Habituellement, nous venons souvent manger chez Chomchom & c'est toujours très bon. Cependant, l'expérience de ce soir a été très décevante.

Au moment de commander notre banh mi, nous avons vu la serveuse préparer le pain directement sur le comptoir. Le pain a touché un chiffon de nettoyage posé sur le comptoir - un chiffon qui était visiblement très sale, noir & rempli de résidus de nourriture.

Ensuite, nous avons aussi remarqué qu'une bouteille bleue de produit chimique nettoyant était collée directement à côté de notre sandwich pendant la préparation. Honnêtement, l'hygiène nous a vraiment dégoûtés.

Lorsque nous l'avons signalé à la serveuse, elle ne s'est pas excusée. Elle a simplement proposé de refaire un sandwich, ce que nous avons accepté au départ. Mais nous l'avons ensuite vue reprendre le même chiffon sale pour essuyer le comptoir, puis, sans changer de gants, prendre un nouveau pain pour recommencer le sandwich.

À ce moment-là, nous avons demandé un remboursement, car la situation était vraiment inacceptable.

Le pire, c'est que sa collègue - qui semblait être la manager - lui a demandé ce qui se passait. Après que la serveuse lui ait expliqué la situation, elle a simplement secoué la tête comme si nous étions en tort.

C'est vraiment dommage, car nous aimions cet endroit. Mais après cette expérience, nous sommes sérieusement déçus par le manque d'hygiène & de professionnalisme.

Usually we come eat at Chomchom quite often & the food is always very good. However, tonight's experience was very disappointing.

When we ordered our banh mi, we saw the server preparing the bread directly on the counter. The bread touched a cleaning cloth that was sitting on the counter - a cloth that was visibly very dirty, black & full of food residue.

We also noticed that a blue bottle of chemical cleaning product was placed right next to our sandwich while it was being prepared. Honestly, the hygiene was really disgusting.

When we pointed it out to the server, she did not apologize. She simply offered to make another sandwich, which we initially agreed to. However, we then saw her grab the same dirty cloth from the counter to wipe the surface &, without changing her gloves, she picked up another piece of bread to start making the new sandwich.

At that point, we asked for a refund because the situation was simply unacceptable.

The worst part is that her colleague - who seemed to be the manager - asked what was going on. After the server explained the situation, she just shook her head as if we were the ones in the wrong.

It's really unfortunate because we used to like this place, but after this experience we are seriously disappointed by the lack of hygiene & professionalism.

Super service, super plat, abordable, dans un lieu très bien dans le centre de Montréal qui regroupe plusieurs stands de restauration avec des tables partagées. Le sandwich était très bon & assez fourni, notamment en crudités, mais également une bonne marinade pour le poulet. Très bon lieu pour manger !

On se régale à chaque fois avec le Bahn mi poulet citronnelle. Portions parfaites & généreuses, sandwich frais & très savoureux!

I think this is the 30th bahn mi shop I've been to so I would say I'm pretty well versed in sandwiches at this point!

This was a very solid sandwich. The bread was perfection - crispy, light, airy, with just the right amount of crunch & chew so that it wasn't breaking into a million pieces onto my clothes but wasn't overly gummy.

We got the barbecue pork. The pork pieces were tender & had a great flavor. The vegetables tasted nice & fresh.

If I were to only have one critique I wish it would have Mayo - or if it did have mail I wish it would have more Mayo. But that's a personal preference of mine.

Solid sandwich, perfect for a late night snack, service was pretty fast & let central is such a vibe!

Meilleur Banh Mi !! C'est mes sandwichs préférées j'en ai gouté à plein d'endroits, mais celui au poulet est un des meilleurs que j'ai mangé!!

Super endroit avec plusieurs petits restaurants de cuisine différents. La cuisine chomchom est vraiment super bonne & avec de la quantité. Vous pouvez aussi bénéficier du wifi gratuit dans les lieux. Le bol porc bbq ainsi que le sandwich boeuf sont super bon. Je recommande vivement.

Super endroit avec plusieurs petits restaurants. La cuisine chomchom est super bonne, de bonne qualité & bien remplie. Vous pouvez bénéficier d'un wifi gratuit. Le bol porc bbq est top ainsi que le sandwich boeuf.
