From noon until late evening, this authentic Parisian "brasserie" boldly and lightly frolics on the themes of the Church in a bold humor. It was almost 9pm on a weeknight when hubs & I spontaneously decided to have a nice meal at Leméac as we thought it'd be mellow at this time of night, but when we stepped inside we found it too crowded & noisy for our mood.
I suggested Chez Leveque across the street, which was much more chill. So glad we ended up here instead! Not only were there weeknight table d'tote specials, the service was attentive & top-notch too. I appreciated that they gave me a sample of the salmon tartare before serving it to me, to make sure the spice level was to my liking.
The cocktails were also on special & very good too. Hubs ordered the cod, which was served hot & perfectly cooked, crisp on the outside, & tender on the inside. We had a very pleasant meal & what was great was that the price was very reasonable for such high level quality & service.
Highly recommended. We'll definitely be coming back!

I chose Chez Leveque to celebrate a milestone birthday with my husband & 3 friends. I had eaten there several years ago on a visit to Montreal & had long wanted to return.
The atmosphere is warm & cozy, our server was charming & attentive, the server assistant/food runner & the other staff members made us feel welcome, our steaks were perfectly cooked & the tarte tatin was excellent. I look forward to my next visit!

L'agneau mon fils l'a adoré (sucré salé)
La crêpe Suzette très copieuse, elle est préparée en avance par contre mais flambée dans une sauce épaisse sous vos yeux.

Je suis extrêmement déçue par mon expérience dans ce restaurant. En tant que personne souffrant d'une allergie au gluten, j'ai demandé des informations & des solutions adaptées. Non seulement mes besoins n'ont pas été pris en compte, mais j'ai été confrontée à une attitude particulièrement désagréable de la part du maître d'hôtel & de la serveuse au bar. Leur manque d'écoute & de courtoisie est inacceptable pour un établissement qui se veut accueillant.
Je ne recommande absolument pas ce restaurant à toute personne ayant des restrictions alimentaires ou recherchant un service respectueux.

On a eu un service exceptionnel de la part de Julien, il a été concilient avec le temps alloué, & avec notre espace au second étage. Menu très bien expliqué, souci de la discrétion. & que dire des mets succulents, des entrées jusqu'aux desserts! Le t-bone de veau coulait en bouche. On a vu des moules farcies, du hareng fumé, des rognons, une saucisse de Toulouse, risotto de légumes. Une bouteille de vin blanc exquis, fruité & doux. Une expérience de haute gastronomie & un exemple en matière d'hôtellerie. Bravo!

Souper dans le cadre de Mtl à table
La nourriture était excellente, de l'entrée d'escargots au cassoulet qui était exquis. Le service était professionnel & courtois. L'ambiance était très bien également. Toutefois, on m'a servi la soupe avec un petit dégât & j'ai demandé une cuillère de remplacement car elle était sale, on n'a pas remplacé mon assiette.

La cuisine y est très bonne & classique, l'entrée de hareng fumé & les plats du jour sont particulièrement goûteux, de même que l'île flottante. Le service est agréable quoi que peu attentionné.
Bémol majeur à mon avis : le restaurant est relativement grand mais l'espace est si optimisé qu'on s'y sent définitivement bien à l'étroit & quelque peu dans l'assiette de son voisin. Je ne recommande vraiment pas si l'on souhaite souper tranquillement en tête à tête & pouvoir discuter librement.

The service was excellent--the wait staff couldn't do enough for us. The décor was also fantastic. However, the food was mediocre at best, & ridiculously expensive. Will not go back.

4 of us had a great meal. I had the farci mussels to start & the party had the boullabaise & I had the cod. Totally delicious. They have a deep wine menu, which we partook in. Great service, great food, great location. Do not pass this eatery by.

Je suis allée pour la première fois dans cette brasserie & tout était parfait ! Un grand bravo pour le service exceptionnel : toute l'équipe a été incroyablement accueillante, attentionnée & bienveillante du début à la fin. Je n'ai même pas eu à me servir un verre de vin une seule fois, tant le personnel était aux petits soins. Une expérience vraiment agréable qui donne envie de revenir très vite ! Merci beaucoup
