Today was our first time visiting this place & we had high expectations. However, after we received our food, we were very disappointed. The chicken roll that was $7, looked like a stuffed roll with chicken as advertised on the menu, but to our surprise it was just butter chicken sauce with little to no chunks of chicken inside.
I wouldn't be going back to this place as it's a total rip off.
Aroun 7 pm we took 4 cups of tea to take out & we asked to put nuts in it tea was so cold without nuts service was also zero never recommend anyone to go
Bought pink tea. It was cold. Asked cashier to put nuts also.but in vain Absolutely worthless
Ordered 3 sliders with fries & chose spicy when asked. When picking up the order, the fries were missing, so we went back. They said the extra $6 charged was for making the buns spicy - with no mention of this on the menu & no warning when ordering. Very poor service & lack of transparency. Won't be ordering again.
First time sitting inside (I've had their tea to go before) & had a really nice experience. Brianna was super friendly & welcoming, with great customer service - which you don't see often these days. She was attentive, adaptable, & truly went above & beyond. 🤍
I used to love this place earlier but this time I found that the food quality has declined.
I usually enjoy trying different restaurants, & this place initially caught my interest. I ordered two butter chicken wraps under a $9 CAD deal (one wrap with karak chai) & one chaat aloo tikki for $8 CAD. However, I was charged an extra $1 for each wrap, which was not clearly explained. Additionally, the portion size of the chaat aloo tikki quite small compared to similar restaurants I've visited, where the portions were more generous. The cashier also mentioned that the tea would take about 15 minutes, but it actually took around 35 minutes to be served. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations.
Drinks- Chai nd all are good but all other things is overpriced & just average
We came in & the seats & floor weren't clean at all. I had to use a napkin & clean the seats & table. Then given its a café style I had to go to counter to order.
Prices were decent but the portions were not. For the price they charged me for halwa Puree I deserved a nice portion. Puree was done in 3 to 4 bites. Chana portion was questionable. Taste was good.
The aloo parathas were frozen readymade ones that were warmes up, not at all freshly made plus size was very small. Taste was ok.
Best thing was the Chai so that did not disappoint.
Gulab Jamun cheesecake was also nice.
One time visit for sure, not sure if this will be my regular spot.
The food was very good, but unfortunately the service & overall experience really fell short. The owner, who was also serving, came across as pushy & added extra charges without asking. For example, I ordered a $15 meal & noticed an additional $2 on the bill. I initially assumed it was tax or a standard fee, but it turned out to be an upcharge for garlic & tomatoes added to my omelette. Prices were not transparent, & this should either be clearly stated upfront or confirmed with the customer before adding it. The same issue happened to friends at our table with different orders.
On top of that, the heating appeared to be turned off while we were there. The café was extremely cold (as cold as outside), with a strong draft, to the point that customers were huddling together for warmth. I had to keep my coat on & was still uncomfortably cold. Given that it was around -20°C outside, this made the experience very unpleasant. Honestly, the subway was warmer than the restaurant when we left.
Great food, but the lack of transparency & basic comfort made it hard to enjoy.
Chaiiwala of London has absolutely nailed the vibe, flavors, & experience. From the moment you walk in, the place feels warm, lively, & welcoming-perfect for chai lovers & foodies alike. The chai is rich, perfectly brewed, & authentically spiced, just like you'd expect on the streets of London. ☕✨
Super glad to be so close to this place because they make great pastries
Excellent Chai .. a must visit place & scrumptious sandwiches ❤?… & a big shoutout to Hamza for excellent recommendations
Cool place to hangout at the tea is just… tea. I'd avoid the sugar option if I were you.
I ordered from uber eats & received low quality burger very oily & the fries were so cold they looked old. Only thing good here is maybe Chai
Not one thing on the menu is fresh. It's frozen Parathas & frozen everything. Even the chai is made in the morning once which is unacceptable for any restaurant. Again not one item on their menu is fresh. You eat if you want to at your own risk!
